mp06 is the takara/japenese version, this is a great price since I bought mine for like $130 off ebay and got the hasbro/u.s. version from walmart the other day for $30, so now i'm stuck with the over paid takara version but at least i got my self a discounted version

are the two versions equal in quality or is the takara skywarp worth the premium?

The quality seems to be the same. The Takara version has a different face than the Hasbro one and is supposed to be a more "realistic" looking jet. In robot mode the purple is more subdued and the jet is entirely black.

takara japenese figures are and will always be way better quality than u.s./hasbro versions. Usually have way more detail, pain apps and just way better collector item. you get what you paid for. in this case i believe the only difference between the takara skywarp and hasbro version is the eyes which u.s. ver. has yellow eyes and the other has red. I never opened any of my mp's exept for megs so i'm unsure of all the differences.

So the takara version resembles more like the G1 release huh?

For the record here are the differences between the US release and Japanese released (since the discussion was going in that direction)

Japanese: Black tail fins, different face sculpt from Starscream, stickers that can be applied, comes with Dr. Archeville pilot, red eyes, darker purple on arms

US: Purple tailfins with silver and purple detailing, detailing on wings that matches with G1 toy, same face sculpt as Starscream but with yellow eyes, name printed on stand. I don't know if Dr. Archeville comes with it (maybe someone can post here about that).

I own both versions but the US one is still MISB. I want to sell the Japanese one and keep the US version.

I will accept reasonable offers on the Japanese version but for now I'm asking $80 shipped in the US (which is quite a bit less than I paid for it).
