It just doesn't make any sense to me that they would announce this after announcing this same toy sans trailer and it being due for release in just a fee WEEKS... how would that NOT piss a lot of people off? the only way: to announce the trailer available as a stand-alone as well. all I know is a picture of MP01 with its PAPER trailer doesn't make me excited, two retailers talking about it or not.

oh, and with 01 being out again in a few weeks, he is NOT going for $200 USD, he's going for $99 USD plus shipping!

Times like this make me glad my Primes don't NEED trailers.

I'm still waiting to see more info on this before I make up my mind 100% either way.

 

  I have a hard time believing they would release, "Convoy perfect edition" with both prime and the trailer. I already have my 20th ann prime. 2 to be exact. I will be pissed if they release these together. I would like it if they released a trailer by itself. I dont know if that website is even legit. Although it did stir up the message boards.

Personally, I think its a rip-off but I can't blame TakaraTomy for just producing a "standalone" trailer...only folks with Optimus would buy it.

On the other hand, the trailer is pointless if one displays Optimus in his bot mode; which is the better of his 2 modes.

I will be passing this over.

if they ever sell the trailer separately, i'll consider buying it. otherwise, they can take their giftset and shove it up their collective asses.

 

I've had a pre-order hanging out there for the new release of MP Convoy for a long time. I've been on the fence on whether or not I was going to stick with it and let it come through because I just really, really don't care for the 20th Prime toy, and really would only be getting this version for a decent paint job. But, screw it, with this announcement, I cancelled. If I ever want it, I have a feeling there will be a nice overstock for a while what with TWO Versions coming out in a matter of months of each other.

 

If this is true, it's downright rediculous. OK, I don't have an MP or 20th An. Prime. And since it always bugged me that he didn't have a trailer, it's the perfect opportunity to save and get it now.

But I feel awful about the ones that have it already. And I feel even worse about the ones who imported the Takara version.

Guess not. Because BBTS just cancelled all orders for the MP01 because now it's being replaced with MP04.

I understand why people are pissed... but I'm happy, because I missed out on Masterpiece prime the first time, so it works out great for me...

Yeah, Amenbo has had a listing for an upcoming new run of MP Convoys for a while, but they never said more than that. This would be that new run.
I don't think there's any intent of trying to sell it to people again, more like trying to sell it to people who didn't get the original, with the new content intended to try to convince others who have it already to get this one as well.
It's like Malibu Stacy and her new hat!

 

they still ought to offer the trailer as a stand alone for those who already have one and can't afford another 200usd just to get the trailer  

 

If the trailer looks good, and I mean REALLY good then I'll splash out on a new MP Prime and sell MP-01.

The best thing about this news is that I didn't bother buying MP-02, though I was tempted. If this news opens up the possibility of a new Magnus WITH trailer/armor then I'll be all over it!

Classics look good... But I'll stick with building a G1 army with the Alts and MP figures I think for now...

I didn't buy Magnus either, but I almost did. If he comes out WITH his armor, oh baby, there goes another 200 clams.
