I've passed on MP-04 quite a few times because I didn't want to pay that much for a figure I already own with an ncomplete trailer ... I'm now starting to regret it due to the huge spike in prices for him. I had the same feeling a year ago when I finally broke down and bought MP-01 while I already had the Hasbro version. About a month later ... they re-released MP-01.

Anyone have any idea if they'll end up releasing him again?

    I'd do a search ... but ... oh yeah ... doesn't work. :)

If MP04 isn't re-released you could still get one of the custom trailers for Prime. I have the custom one that transforms for mine.

Highly doubt it. MP-04 sales were slow because everyone had the 20 versions of MP Prime that came before. The toy itself is the same, and the trailer is very basic but made of good quality plastic, and yet for some reason the combination of both in a box slapped with pretty pictures has become the hottest thing since Vanilla Ice.

If you just want the trailer check ebay. You might snag one for $80 or so. Cant promise it'll transform but at this point you'll be lucky to even find one

Just bought one MIB from a guy on Ebay, not sealed but still twist-tied down. Paid 215 shipped; one I was watching on there just went for nearly 300, I am glad I got mine now.

Glad I ordered mine when BBTS clearanced them. I'd imagine that anyone whose ever had a G1 Prime wants one after seeing the movie. They get on ebay and end up finding MP-04 which is a thousand times better than G1 so everyone is wanting one right now.

It's probably due to the movie's popularity. Try in a few months when it goes down

$159...I figured he'll never be any cheaper than that.

    Ebay:
I'm sure it'll drop but not significantly. In the long run he'll still be the most expensive MP and will probably command $250-350 years from now.
