just have to say thank god there not doin another repaint of the prime mold. And the desgins looks pritty awsome at the moment and his alt mode looks really impressive, thought they will prob do 3 other repaints for this mold. Not that it would be a bad thing

Although I was really hoping for a masterpiece Megatron in G2 tank mode (to counter MP Prime). It could have been re-coloured as a purple tank a la Shockwave (to counter MP Magnus).

Who knows, if this baby sells well; they may consider it!

There are no immediate distinctions I can see between this and the unpainted proto Hasbro showed us a slide of at BotCon. Keeping in mind that the same engineering team at Takara works on all this stuff, whether it's a Hasbro or Takara release, I think it is highly unlikely that two new high detail molds of Starscream have been created. Chances are this is just the Takara/Tomy version of the figure design we saw earlier. Aaron Archer's comment on this point was that he had seen the Robot Masters stuff they were doing and said, "Eh, that's ok, but if we're going to re-issue a new Seeker mold, I wanted it to be something cooler than that."

So it's good news on the spending front... first, because Hasbro will release it domestically, and second because those releases were slated to be mostly in the Deluxe/Mega range so it shouldn't be another expensive piece like MP Prime. That would also fit into Takara's more recent strategy of making smaller collector's pieces (like the Hybrid Prime and all the RM stuff) instead of more giant ones.

 

Why?

Cause we only have one smallish picture, with text photoshoped over it, supposadly from a product that isn't even released yet. No other info.

I might get slightly more excited if/when a proto surfaces but till then I am sticking with meh.

If it's true (and I actually have a good feeling about this one...call me an optimist) it's fantastic - as it can only mean Masterpiece Thundercracker down the road!

I would so buy that and all of the repaints. If for no other reason than to support future toys being made. (MP Soundwave, MP Grimlock, MP Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime, etc...)

I'd always hoped for a Masterpiece Galvatron, but this is cool too. Galvy can wait. The teaser sketch looks pretty good.

 

OMG YES! First off its about time for another MP mold .
What is that it's STARSCREAM!!!
Now that is the best news of the year (for toys anyway) , and I hope that they repaint Skywarp and Thundercracker ; they would be the only repaints that I would buy at that price point .

 

Repaints are pretty much guaranteed, at least from Takara.

 

SPECTACULAR NEWS.
If he's done anywhere NEAR as well as Prime he will be one of the Greatest TF toys EVER. And Starscream has never had a really good really show acurate toy.

Plus I'll buy Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunstorm, Thrust, Ramjet, Dirge, Green Seeker, Orange Seeker, genaric Seekers 1-5, Ghost Screamer, ect. (Obviously I'd priorotize those somewhat).

I can't wait to see pics. PLEASE let him be done as awesomely as Prime. They can leave out the lights and mabe even the die-cast and I'm fine, I just want the same size, detail, poseability, and show acurateness.

Actually I'd love if they can repaint MP Prime in black and call it Dark Convoy or Nemesis Prime. As for MP Starscream it may well be a RM Starscream done to a much larger scale. I can't wait for THS-02 to come out so we can confirm the rumor. It's gonna put a big dent in my wallet but I don't care. Now if they come out with other Seeker repaints I'll be flat broke.  

 

Doubtful, that mold was god aweful.
