I'm sure you mean his DotM deluxe. That deluxe Soundwave mould is way more popular than it deserves to be, maybe due to rarity; it's proportions we're all wrong. He definitely deserves another attempt.

I think hes a good figure and can fit in on any movie shelf collection. He has some flaws but hes far better then his AOE counterpart,I got 2 myself,so I could have one fight my Evasion Optimus and one fight my TLK Optimus. I almost feel like hes doesnt belong in SS at all. Hes almost the same size as SS Ratchet.

So, did anyone add any custom paint to their SS Lockdown yet?

    I was considering it.

Very minor, very subtle. Maybe some gold on the shoulder missiles, some silver near the toes, perhaps red brake pad/calipers?

I think Que and Jolt scale in vehicle mode as long as you use TLK autobots.

Pulled out SS Ratchet again yesterday, planning on selling since I’m now focusing on MPM scale. Instead I accidentally rediscovered how much I enjoy him.

I would be more excited if i didn't know that this will probably cost around 140 -180 bucks..... actually considering this company apparently makes 8 inch no transforming figures that cost 120 i'd say we'd be lucky not to have it come out with a $200 price tag....

Nah, it’s a new MPM Soundwave. See the 3P discussion section for more :)

Also, calling this a KO is an insult to the engineering masterpiece that is this figure.

Can you show Lockdown and Ratchet side-by-side?

I know, you are right in that regard.
It is just that 3rd party products have always been called KO's
3rd party indeed sounds better and is a better name I mean take a look at AOE Hound!

    So this is 3rd party?

I'm planning on doing some minor details on him like the silver bars on his arms and legs, the rust on his face, some weathering, etc.

Lockdown actually had orange calipers in the movie. Aside from the car itself, you can see them on his biceps and knees in robot mode. And I believe the bullets on the magazines he carries are actually copper, btw.

This is third-party (original design of stolen IP) indeed. KO's are "lovingly" referred to as 4th party.

Here's the thread for this Soundwave

To me, a figure should called a KO when it’s just an upscalling of an official figure, original molds like this Soundwave should be called “Unoffical Transformer” instead. Because good sweet Primus is that thing more than a simple KO!
