as much as people hate on it, i love that 07 leader. its weirdly one of my favorite megatrons..... maybe its cause i have that premium colored one....

yeah that looks sweet, or just you know any of the parts with crap ton of explosions with all the fire. The part for me that makes him look so evil and bad ass is when he turns into the lambo and is surrounded by flames.

Ok, I gotta ask, is SS Optimus any good? I have been back-and-forthing on him for ages now. I sorta set a limit on myself that I would only get movie toys if they are SS (Mostly to save space), so that would mean to have an Optimus I would need the SS one. Here are my Pros and Cons to him:

Pros:

-Articulated
-Decent scale
-Not a fortune like some other Voy. Optimuses are on the market
-Swords
-Interesting transformation, particularly with how they move the wheels around

Cons:

-Short 'stacks
-That red blob on the fuel tanks
-Odd looking chest
-No guns
-Kinda "dark" compared to most Optimuses

 

If we’re lucky, Hasbro may release a 2007 Voyager Megatron for wave 3 or 4.

 

I think the slots for waves 3 and 4 are already filled with Crushboner, Ironhide, another Op and presumably Tattoo Scream. Hopefully we'll see something beyond that at SDCC.

 

I reallllllly hope so. Ive said this several times but id love a retool of the tlk voyager megatron for this, i think it can be done.

 

to me this is a pro, simply cause it makes painting his grey bits silver way easier. cause silver on a light grey does not work out, but on dark greay it works really well and ends up looking like the silver hasbro uses. but that's just from the point of view of someone who paint up his figures.

 

He's got a sort of old school charm, like he's from the BW/UT "toy first" lines and not current "screen accuracy first" stuff.

Kinda makes SS Blackout look bad. I mean, he's got the hand rotor thing (kinda) and Scorponok, but you just know 10 years ago it'd have been a lot more dynamic than "plug in." Not to mention he'd actually have that chest cannon dealie. And he'd be like twice the size...

 

I saw in one of the threads about him that that was possibly intentionally done to sort of mimic the damage and dirt he gets on him during the forest fight.

 

I'm not paranoid or worried, but just that they kept anything over wave 2 such a secret, we have not seen any leaks. I'm starting to wonder about wave 3 Ironhide.

 

I liked it too! But I lost it. Pretty sure grandma or mom sold it at a garage sale without me knowing. Granted I was a kid so they did a lot without me knowing.

 

Definitely underrated, I like it more than the ROTF leader. I swapped the spring out from the gun arms to the mace launcher...this way the gun arm stays open manually and the mace fires out like a harpoon missle...almost like it was designed to do this the whole time!

 

yeah, agreed on the 07 leader being all kinds of charming. that's one of those rare toys that's on my shortlist of stuff i want for cool factor over design. it'd make a bitchin thunderwing, too.
