I know others have commented already but the phrase "kids toy" is bullshit, especially when you're collecting a line of products that are actually aimed at people OLDER than you. Gone are the days of "growing out of" things you like. The only things people should grow out of are being mean to people and acting spoiled and entitled. As long as you can function in society and be nice to people and be happy and productive we don't care what you're into!

Exactly! OMG I buy more figures than I ever have these days. I sell a lot too but that's mostly cause of space.

Why do people still only think about how tall their heads are? People ignore all the extra (screen accurate) mass and plastic on Blackout's back and his huge alt mode and just say he's tiny cause his head height isn't that high. We have this discussion every time a new SS figure comes out I swear.

How big did you expect him to be? We've known approximately how big he'd be for a long time, and it's not like SS is gonna suddenly start making figures with 2ft long alt modes...

Definitely. When I first got some disposable income, I went all out and just splurged in figures that I didn't want nor need. So now, they're just there sitting on my shelf. I'll probably sell them eventually once I get my fat ass off the couch

Holy crap that looks good. I love all that molded detail. Hopefully those windows transform into the truck windshields cause I'd hate for those to be faux pieces. And like what someone said earlier, would've liked it to be blitzwing, but this works too

Just watching figures collect dust was something that disappointed me too and led me to downsize. The thing is I also really like hiking/nature and photography so now I’ll always take a few random figures with me when I go to a trail, park or something to take pictures of giving them a purpose beyond you know... collecting dust. I suppose the challenge is to find a way to get a use out of your collection beyond just looking at it on a shelf, for me being able to combine those three passions really caused me enjoy my collection anew.

If you do decide to downsize just be deliberate about what figures you part with because once they're gone, they’re gone. Also unlike others, at 19, my collecting has slowed considerably as I've gotten older... I think I can count my transformers purchases from the past two years on my hands

I had thoughts like these before and I currently still do sometimes. There's nothing wrong with getting toys though. It's just a hobby and it's something you like. You don't have to grow out of it though. If you still like TFs, continue collecting! It's alright and your age shouldn't stop you from collecting toys. Plus, people will admire your collection.  

Also, I, for some reason, thought you were around the 20s and much older than me. Turns out you are two years younger than I am.  

 

You know what? Sure Hasbro. I'll buy 5 Optimuses next year. Why the fuck not?
