Saw this cute little guy in Toys Kingdom and grabbed him, he’s so cute I couldn’t resist  



I decided to get him over SS-18 because he scales better and is of much better value in my opinion (assuming he arrives here, SS-18 will cost 2.66 times as much while only being like 1.33 times as big?). As good as SS-18 is I don’t have money for that kinda stuff.

 

Couldn't resist making this gratuitous little purchase. This figure is stunning. BUT who the hell is Shadow Raider??? Generic, boring name. In an imaginary plane of my own making this character is Drakken Darr. A survivalist from an encounter with Unicron who created him for nefarious purposes. He fell out of favour with his maker when Unicron lost patience with him when Drakken Darr refused to comply with the final phase of his training which required him to execute members of a brutalised and defenseless race Unicron had spared for Drakken Darr to wipe out. Drakken Darr was once loosely aligned with the Decepticons but is essentially a lone ranger whom constantly has to keep his whereabouts concealed from Unicron whom would destroy him. More akin to being an unlikely peace maker however inherent in his make up is some of Unicrons discordant, violent essence which he wars against within.

 

That's a hell of back story!! I could see me reading more about this Drakken Darr character!!

 

What are your thoughts on him? He's definitely a mixed bag but still quite fun.

Haha I was gonna mention something about the new house looking quite a bit slicker but also missing the desk  

 

Someone pointed out that tlk sqweek and Megatron were spotted on display at the Tokyo comic con with the studio series figures we know or 2019 ones. I hope this doesn't mean they are a part of studio series. Like how they are reissuing Cogman.

 

Any pics? I hope they aren't part of SS and I doubt they are part of the line.

I'm looking at Sqweeks and he looks to be painted in a more clean version than the one we got. It might be he will be a part of this line as an exclusive perhaps.

 

While I wouldnt rule it out as an exclusive the card in front of him as well as the leaders up above are different.

They seem to be the regular ones used for the last knight line.

 

Nooo there is leader prime there aswell! Although, in front of prime, megs and squeeks the tag (thing in front of the figure) is black and white and the others have a blue part in them and they are for SS figures so maybe they aren't part of the line. See here:

 

Is that a Calibur Prime on the right?! Goodness, I hope that gets re-released.

 

I know that what I was saying earlier everything else has a blue tag while these 3 don't so yeah they are probably just there for display and not indicating a re release.

He's fun, and his transformation is unique. He's kinda weird, but I like him.

 

If you looking for a good but not to expensive TLK Optimus, get Black Mamba's OS voyager TLK Prime.. that figure is what a leader TLK prime should have been AND scales really well with the Studio Series cars!

 

I realize now that each display is based off of all 5 movies. If only Dino were hiding in the dotm display.
