I know, but i thought that scene was unrealistic. I dont think a railgun could injure devastator with a single shot. It was mentioned in the 2007 movie that only high-heat SABOT rounds can damage them. But, maybe it was an extremely large railgun. who knows?

Blackout's about 35-40ft tall, nowhere near 60ft (60ft is about the length of his alt. mode, minus the rotor blades). Megatron and SS are both in the 30-40ft bracket too. Massive jets and tanks are easily big enough to create an enormous combiner. Also, Devastator's ineffectual showing is down to the writing and story direction. He could have been written to be much more effective I'm sure.

Well, they would be larger than SS or Megs, but not as large as Devastator.
By the way, I didn't count how many made him up in the movie - was it actually five?

So, I loved Defensor, he was my fave, had two sets of that combiner team as a kid - one in individual bots, the other as a permanent Defensor - saved time that way! :)

I would say that considering that Groove was a scaled up Motorbike and Blades a scaled down coast guard chopper, some tweaking is necessary.
I would love to see a smaller, but upright combiner in the films as well.

You're also implying that size = power.

You can have a combiner as tall as Optimus and kick every single Autobot's ass.

    Damn straight.

Should be? Perhaps. Just keep in mind Bayformers brand of design gets looser & looser on any namesake or function from prior fiction. Due to mere cars mostly, Menasor could easily end up being no bigger than Blackout or Grindor, while were the biggest of the big jets & such used for the Aerialbots, Superion could be quite a deal more massive than Devastator was in the recent flick.

So should & could? Sure & absolutely. Would? At best, questionable. At worst, unlikely.

An MH-53J/M is 88 feet long. Grindor's in-movie height reflected that. But in no way is Starscream taller than Megatron. The toy is definitely not to scale with anything. Bayphysics =/= real physics, so a scale measurement wouldn't really apply.

so starscream is 20 feet taller than optimus? also you are saying he is taller than megtron? did you see the movie? megatron is bigger then starscream. i wouldn't go by the toys. also blackout was very small considering how big his alt mode is.

    Step 1: Select big vehicles
Step 2: Have a lot of them (probably seven or more)
Step 3: Nameslap as the Transformer Combiner of your choice

Yes. Plus, they could market deluxes that actually combine into their on-screen counterpart if they do Menasor.

Bruticus is probably most likely though, considering Bay has that fetish for military equipment. And if he's a little shorter than Megs he would still be a powerhouse. The problem with Devy was that he had size and strength, but not speed. He was a sitting duck. With a smaller and lighter combiner, the carnage could be extraordinary.

This thread is awesome. How did someone calculate that SScream is 55ft and Megs is 40ft by comparing toys. Hmmmm, me thinks someone has been knocking back the bourbon :drunk

Anyways I would like to Superion if another combiner was to be used. As his name suggests, he is a class act

use your brain. superion is made up of 5 pretty big jets. use your brain, they would be about the size of demolisher in combinded form. and it was said megatron was about 32 feet tall, while prime was about 28 feet tall (from a size reference pic i saw around 2007). same for the combaticons and menesor. bigger than you think

again use your brain. the fall is what did the REALLY big damage to devastator. the railgun mainly shot his arm off, which knocked him off balance, and cause him to fall, which finished devastator off

there is size changing in the movie. starscream shrinks when turns into robot mode. and in real life he would easily be 20 feeet taller than prime. A fighter jet is a lot larger than a truck

i also laugh at the fact that you said superion was composed of civilian vehicles in one of your first post, and when someone said otherwise you said you didn't, even though the proof was there

starscreams toy is about 1/70th scale. Then i just multiplied his height by 55 and converted it into feet. hes about 55 feet tall.

for megatron i just guessed his height.
