for a film buff (sorta) theres sure a couple'a movies ive been putting off. theres actually a bunch but i think these are the most flagrant:

    - apocalypse now (watched most of the key nam movies, but this, wtf)
    - the godfather trilogy (not that big a fan of mafia movies actually, but its godfather! wtf)
    - clockwork orange (for the record tho, i think 2001 the movie sucked balls. i actually found the black hole to be more enjoyable)

theres also this is spinal tap, but you cant blame me since its unavailable locally.

2001 makes no sense unless you read the book first. Then it's one of the best movies ever made.

The Godfather is not actually a 'mafia movie.' The genre did not exist at the time. Only movies that came afterward are mafia movies, AKA Godfather knockoffs. (goodfellas was good though)

I enjoyed Apocalypse now, but I've heard mixed criticism.

And with the internet, I most certainly CAN blame you for not seeing This is Spinal Tap.

Movies I have yet to see but know I should include:
    Citizen Kane
    Rambo (any)
    Nightmare on Elm Street (any)

i have in fact read 2001 the book, an arthur clarke fan even (well enough to know his paedo/young gay fetish - yikes, looks at sig - rumors too). know enough abt it to know that it was written concurrently with the movie.

and while i appreciate the film for what it is, i consider it severely overrated. you need the book to fill in too many blanks, thats the problem.

Spinal Tap is fantastic, simply one of the best mockumentaries ever made. Clockwork Orange is severely fucked up. You will either love it or hate it.

i have analyzed 2001 and i have concluded it is claptrap, just a buncha journos riding kubricks dick.

damn, i should do a movie review site. i can use that as my catch phrase to piss off other hacks: KA's review: reviews not done while riding kubricks dick.

    theres alliteration in there too.

You're not the first to say that.

Hell, I've even heard the phrase 'riding kubrick's dick' already.

The Godfather is the best movie ever made. Not Part II or III, just the first one.

    Best movie EVER.

    2001 is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is only 1 other film that really presents space as something so awesome and terrifiying that the human mind can barely understand...and that other film would be Alien.

Two great movies about space by two great filmakers!

The only major difference is that 2001 had brilliant music...where as alien had little to none.

ClockWorkOrange is fucked up!...but great nonetheless!

Check out Deerhunter too! Just because I said so:thumb

ive seen deer hunter. the roulette scene was great.

somehow i knew you liked 2001, ya hippie stoner ;P

for the record tho, alien is not really a 'space movie'. it was just a horror/monster movie set in space. theres a diff.

I've been meaning to watch the Indy trilogy again, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

I've put off seeing the LOTR movies, but that's on purpose and I have no plans to see them.

To date it's the only movie I've started and not finished. I stopped it when the rape started.

I'm tempted to give it another whirl as I've been considerably desensitized (for the worst I'm sure) in the 15 years since then.

Hey Jux, have you started a grassroots type of campaign? Heh, that rocks.
