took about an hour to finish this sketch.

the final version has been sitting on me desk now for about 2 days. I have no idea when ill be able to finish it, so i thought id just post the sketch for now. lol had to sketch it out, was getting lost with my own tranformation sequence. tis a while since I did a movie bot.

I used a GT 40 well because i have a pretty RC version of the car, and that too I dont see this car changing when 2009 or 2010 hits. And because I cant exactly find good pics of any 2009 / 2010 cars around

Wow, that actually really works well. Good stuff. The shoulder cannon is a nice touch; it'd be nice to see one of those in any movie sequels or future products.

Good to see you back. I was worried this series would stop forever.

It looks really good. Wheeljack's head is really Bayish anyway.

I like it but it doesn't say Movie design to me. It's more really detailed Classics G1. It's a great sketch though.

I think the chestplate could do with being split up a bit, but other than that it's great!

It's a great sketch, but as mentioned before not really movie-ish. If the windshield and chest plate were more split apart and layered as well as the other panels more jointed and flexible it would be a much better design. As is, it's a suped up Classics design, which isn't a bad thing in any way mind you. Still it's an incredible piece of work and a very nice design.

Thanks Cdn, I still try to keep em g1 friendly as much as I can.

Thanks THundertalon, this version wont be colored, but the final version will be colored, I just cant promise when that will be done though.

LOL, no problem Kenji, I only chose this car, cause I dont forsee it changing that much around 2009/2010. the transformation is interchangeable with a corvette, so i may change it toa corvette, cause of the GM contract thing.

Thanks Randomferret, lol I wish i could have a career of just doing tfs, unfortunately I dont have the time. so when I get the time, ill try to get out a TF design, i havent quit forever, just when i get some time. Thanks man

Thanks N tel ekt, means alot

thanks alienbot, I still gotta hcange the head a bit on the final version, gotta make it more friendly.

    Thanks Rodr evil

    Thanks Mega prime

I appreciate the sentiment BRave, means alot

Thanks fastball, hopefully they will, althogh i probably see wheeljack making it more than grimlock, although they shoud be in there

Thanks, thats cool BigKid. as much as I love the movie, I still try to keep em more
g1 friendly. theres already been too much deviation from the original characters. Somebodies gotta make em a lil more g1esque. hopefully the final version will resemble more of a baybot.

Thanks Sso0, Ill see what i can do with the chestplate on teh final version.
    thanks man

    Thanks Autovolt, means much

I appreciate it Zie, hopefully those issues will be resolved on the final version.
UGH every damn piece has to be articulated and studied carefully to make sure they fit on the final piece, this sketch is just place holder, to see where each part fits. hopefully I can break up the pieces a bit more. on the final version

    Thanks Beastwars, means alot

You could probably segment the chest in the same pattern as his G1 version's chest design. that'd be cool.

VERY nice, and I love all the details. But like the others said, it doesn't really look like a movie bot, though I understand why you did that. If I may suggest something: Try to make him look less like the toy and more like the cartoon version. Make him taller and slimmer, and lay out the vehicle kibble so that it looks more like natural fitting armor, like how Bumblebee did (for some reason I always thought that with a white body and a WJ head he would be quite a good movie Wheeljack).

I like it a lot, you sir have serious talent. But I don't think it follows the movie asthetic very well at all. It's missing the organic flow of the parts and the near perfect (albeit, over exagerated sometimes) humaniod shape.
