$81 for a loose, non-finalized version potentially missing paint apps and likely with the loose joints characteristic of many test shots? Ouch!

No loose joints here buddy. It's not a resin prototype. If anything, joints are going to be tighter since the molds are fresh. And exclusivity has its price. I got mine for less money than that though.

Hey, I'm a Starscream collector...what can I say. Evedently someone else wanted it more. And besides I have purchased from the seller before so now I am getting the same fig for less direct from him.

I won mine for $77.99. The other SS I saw before that sold for $91. I'm sure one will be able to find one for less than that if it becomes as common as Voyager Ratchet (got that one for $60 shipped, so not too bad).

Similar story on my FAB. I saw one go for near 100. I got mine for 60. When buying a proto or test shot on ebay you roll the dice and see what happens.

I am paying 100 including shipping for my Voyager. Sometime I dispise the expanding defination of what it means to be a Starscream collector. On the other hand I'll have a sweet collection.

Pretty much the same here, it was $102 with shipping. I got FAB SS for $50 shipped.

I am hoping now that since I have developed a relationship of sorts with the seller I may get dibs on other such purchases. I have heard that there will be a deluxe Starscream as well.

    Ebay:
That's cool. My experience was considerably different. I've only purchased two test shots - a clear G1 Jazz and clear G1 Prowl, which were somewhat common when the commemorative edition reissues were coming out.

Jazz is so floppy he will barely stand, and Prowl's clear plastic literally crumbled in my hands within days of receiving him. Those were my first and last forays into the world of pre-production items.
