I just noticed that Jetblade bears a striking resemblance to Ramjet (color-scheme wise).

Any chance that the matching deco is an intentional reference, or is it just a coincidence?

Eh kinda but I think it would be ill advised to toss Unicron into the Live Action movies at this point.

Least they are finding creative uses for all the damned light baby blue paint

I think you kinda missed my point...

I was just noting that "Jetblade" appears to be (at least partially) inspired by Universe Ramjet. (At least in terms of his color-scheme...)

Actually Unicron is in the movie-verse... kinda... it may not be canon, but he was in a few Titan UK issues... This Unicron is in the 2007 resources on this site, actually....

You know, I'm still surprised they did that. They usually refrain from using characters/ideas that might still be up for inclusion in the movies proper (which presumably Unicron was at the time... Orci or Kurtzman one talked about wanting to include him in 3 before they got the axe).

As far as we can tell, he isn't one. He's just some really old Decepticon who has glowing armor.
Besides, no Herald of Unicron gets murdered that quickly, Powered-Up-Mode or not.

I don't see huge similarities. Jetblade isn't white, red, and blue.

Not sure, I just know that his bio mentions that he is Terradive's partner in crime, although I'm not sure that's anything important.
