Wanted to clear my work area of unfinished work before reno on my basement begins. So I present to you my take on a movie-verse human alliance sideswipe. What was done:

-Painted in metallic lacquers (Testors Revving Red, Blazing Black, gun-metal, and chrome)
-Removed the head and replace it with a universe sideswipe
-Alternator hands
-Switched the bucket seats
-Added springs to the back of the legs
-Custom license plate
-Gundam gun w/styrene work

Looks gorgeous, lovely clean paint. My one crit would be like I'd like to see somes red on the thighs to break up the mass of silver, but apart from that, great work  

 

Man, G1 heads and hands on movie bodies never looks right. The choice of red for vehicle mode is hella nice, though. Like actual car paint.

 

That is a beautiful compromise  

I've never been a fan of the movie designs when presented in robot mode but by adding the head (and the hands to a lesser extent) it made tolerable. The vehicle mode is Niiiiice. Very nice paint job.

If the Movie figures had 'bots with this look mixed in i might have bought one...

 

Actually, I think it works rather well....HA SS isn't that much "movie" IMO anyways....I think it all blends together rather well.

Love the paint work too.

Yeeeeah, I'm pretty sure he meant G1 looking heads and hands... which is exactly what the Alt hands and Classics (actually Universe  ) head are.

The classics/universe distinction was not my point. Nevermind. Anyway, my intention was not to be rude. Obviously tone and inflection are lost in print. Didn't mean to come off like a jerk or anything.

 

Wow! No wI have no need to do this at all, you well exceeded the g1 movie-verse sideswipe concept and brought it to a new level. Totally awesome man, amazing.

 

I still cant get over how cool this is.

 

Man, this is gorgeous. I agree that the thighs could use some color, but your paint work looks clean and crisp. well done.
