For the tiny, tiny handful of us that actually cared about these. :lol  Received this email from BBTS a few moments ago; not too much of a surprise, really.

There is nothing unfortunate about this. Both of those sucked and I'm sure sales on all the other unleashed TF figures caused this cancellation.

I'm not surprised, especially because they haven't been released yet, and most of us have gotten Animated now, and Universe is approaching.

Although I did get Turnarounds Optimus Prime for $2. Makes a good centerpiece.

Well, when Prime came out and was 30 bucks then clearanced to 5 and STILL couldn't sell, you can understand the business decision by Hasbro to cancel these.

Those of you looking for a TF2 Devvy Turnaround may be dissappointed ;)

    Turnarounds had fans?

    Really?

Bumblebee sold tons, Turnarounds sold none. Surprised that didn't tell anyone anything.

G1 Unleashed, or IDWverse Unleashed... Those would be irresistable. And I'm glad they don't exist, because I have nowhere to put them, and cannot afford them. But I would HAVE to have them.

To be honest, if they had only put a whole lot of effort into robot-mode sculpts for the unleashed TF characters, I think I would have been more interested. The turnarounds ended up looking lackluster due to the factory-style paint apps on what was supposed to be an exceptional figure.

Bleh, I liked the Ratchet and Jazz one but I would never have actually spent money on it.

    Exactly.

Some don't like TF statues/busts at all and will automatically hate on anything like Unleashed. But like OWAT said, had they done Prime & Megs in the same style/look of Unleashed BB, I have no doubt both would have done better at retail. The "turnaround" concept, plus the ho-hum paint apps, plus the cartoonish rock/ice backgrounds killed these things, as far as I can tell.

If these had been treated as actual collectors pieces (which it seemed Hasbro wanted them to be viewed as) instead of toys (which is how Hasbro treated them production-wise) they may have sold well.

I am pleased at this turn of events.

Now, if they could only cancel the rest of the movie repaints/exclusives we'd be all set :lol

The worst thing about the Prime turnaround was that it still wasn't even a figure-in-the-round... part of his backside was missing and he had that retarded looking pen-cap blaster arm.

I LOVE Unleashed BB though. They should have done a regular Unleashed lineup.

I will never understand this viewpoint. It doesn't hurt you if Hasbro releases a toy that doesn't interest you. Why be happy about a canceled product? Chances are, someone was looking forward to them. I know I thought the Ratchet/Jazz one, at least, looked like it had potential from online pics.

    See?

He's been released, but hasn't hit a lot of brick-and-mortar stores. He is available online at hasbrotoyshop.com, toysrus.com, and target.com. (Price is lowest at Target -- $17.49.)

Oh yeah? Interesting. Wonder if it'll be one of those cases where they show up in the U.S. at Dollar General/Family Dollar like the canceled G1 Attacktix starter set.

Do you mean the Jazz/Ratchet & Barricade/Blackout ones? Those are supposed to be canceled.

If you did see them, then go buy them. They aren't suppose to be produced, which means they would become very rare, so they might be worth something.

Can these things still be found? I was told TJ Maxx had them, but I never saw them.

And I also check every Family Dollar around me for transformers, and still never saw this Attacktix set.

Anyone know where I can still find that Generation One Attacktix set?
