Pretty sure all Takara movie toys will just be Hasbro toys repackaged.

    Thanks for the heads-up, Randy!

Not necessarily. According to those pics, the Takara BB will, indeed, have the transparent windows. He also looks like his face deco may be a little more elaborate. And I believe those are the first good pictures we've seen of the transparent windows version with a full paint deco.

Of course, they're also still using the non-final Protoform pictures, so who knows?

That's actually Brawl. Bonecrusher is the Buffalo (6-wheeled thingy with the claw-arm).

Well, even the Hasbro packaging shows purple missiles (and incorrect face paint apps) for BB when they're actually yellow... I bet Takara is just using old pictures.

Looks like they're using the normal Hasbro photoshopped pictures (the real toys won't look so shiny I'll bet).

How much robot mode kibble do the painted windows hide though?

Hope the Tomy packaging isn't too cool looking. I'd hate to have to buy the whole line again.... because I know I would if it is. I pray it looks just like Hasbros. Then all I have to get are the figures with major diffrences. Clear windows BB, and Diecast Prime.

I see they're still calling Prime a Kenworth W900, when I'm pretty sure he's a Peterbilt 379. Though as I've said before---they customized it so heavily for the movie, most of the identifying features are gone, and it's very hard to tell.

If I was a trucker, I'd get whichever model had an option for a Peter Cullen facsimile to sit in the cab whenever I'm not there! :lol

Well here is to hoping that the Bumblebee turns out as he is shown here. Looks much better than the US release. Transparent windows, and face is painted much more accurately.

Also Proto-Starscream's face is very different than the U.S. version.

Guess we will have to wait and see if there are differences.

Nope that Bumblebee is the same image from the catalouge and Deluxe card packaging, so all signs point to painted yellow plastic instead of tinted clear plastic.

Just look at the images in the first post and compare.

Aren't these all just Hasbro stock images? Hasbro stock images for Protoform Starscream also show a different face.

I thought Fit For Nathalie said that was just a false report and die-cast wasn't even mentionned in the original text?

Yeah, from what a friend told me, there was no mention of die-cast in the article Seibertron cited, and no other site seems to have reported the same information, wherever it really came from.

Those are the same photos as Hasbro's packaging, dude.

Cost decision - half the car would be clear blue, and thus half the car would have to be painted yellow and black, which would put the piece over budget. They work under a budget, you know.
