Anybody ever go to this place? I went for the first time yesterday. I saw Spiderman 3 again. I've got to say, it was a pretty nice experience. A nice dinner and a movie at the same time. It was weird at first eating in the theater, but I got used to it. I'm gonna see all the movies there this year. What should I eat when I watch Transformers?

Unless you're in TX, you're pretty much out of luck.

(Not counting the one location in OH and one in KY.)

*edit* Judging by the picture on the site, it looks like they have a horrendous beer selection. I'm such a beer nerd. Or maybe snob is a better word? :D

Well, I figured there may be some competition for this place in other areas. Does anybody have a place anything like this near them that maybe goes by a different name?

There's one in my hometown, but I've never actually been in the place. If I do, as long as they've got Shiner Bock, I'll be fine as far as the beer goes.

I'd go see Chicken Run and bring in some KFC.

Depends on the conversation actually. In this case, yes, beer snob.

When I go out with fellow beer nerds and/or geeks and discuss the complexities of flavors, ingredients, and methods of brewing, it's not the case. :D

I've actually been to the one in TX. It was an okay time. We saw Tomb Raider, I think. The movie was lame, but the food was good. I'm not too sure the idea will ever take off, though as I must admit that it was a bit distracting getting refills, having people walk by, etc. I think it'd be fun every now and then, but I still prefer to go to drive-ins, few and far between as they are now.

lol, my ex girlfriend and I would sneak beer into the theater. Once I took her to see Memoirs of a Geisha, which is so fucking boring I ended up getting plastered and falling asleep.

    :lol

Once I had to carry my wife, almost literally, out of Scary Movie. She was pretty well gone after a Nalgene bottle filled with vodka tonic...

Come to think about it, I think it was the last time we ever did that. Heh.

Movie Tavern is a poor man's Alamo Drafthouse, of which the original location in Austin has been around for over ten years. I just moved back home after a 2+ year stint in DFW. Buncha people at work were all "ZOMG Movie Tavern" and I got to be the Austin>your town snob that went "Pssh. We've had that in Austin for yyeeaarrs."

How much does it cost for a movie at one of these things? They look awesome, but sadly, there is nothing like that where I am.

I used to love hitting 'Flickers' in Columbus. Great prices for movies, food wasn't bad, and a fun place to go with friends.

There's one in MA that I know of that does the same thing. You have to be 21 or older to go to this theater and it's in Framingham. There's one in NH too called.....Chubby's....I think. That's less formal than the framingham one, but still fun.
