This is my update of an update. Custom Swindle by ~Solrac333 on deviantART
I just drybrushed the same purple I used on my Classics Shockwave and Cyclonus a while back. I like this shade the best.

This was kind of like covering up a bad tattoo. Using an old custom and trying to clean it up a bit with better skills.

Hey, did you see the drybrushing tutorial on JinSaotome's website? Because he looks a lot like this guy:

    Transformers Painting Guide Part 2

Anyway, you got a very good color going, but it looks like it's on very thick.

The comparison-pic with your Soundwave shows how much better you've gotten in the time since you started this custom.

Yup. Same tutorial. That's what got me started. Yeah, it's think because it's the same figure that I've repainted 3 times already. The first time, a lot of paint was globbed on and tried to clean it up a bit the last two times.

I'm not a fan of the painted windows, as that's just a preference with me, but it also looks like it's on really thick on the windows. The paint on the body doesn't look nearly as thick, but that's hard to tell in the photos.

Aside from that, I really like this. The purple paint you chose looks really nice, and the details you added look great as well. Overall, great job! :thumb

Doesn't it feel good to be able to return to an old project and give it an overhaul? :)
