To be honest I wasn't sure what exactly what this was going to be when I started. I was just playing around with creating a form out of shapes; this one had a lot of triangles. But it's sort of evolved from that point into something else. I just ended up drawing in the movie style due to the month working on my contest entry. Here's the head so far. Thoughts and Critique are both welcome and interesting as it's largely a self evolving spontaneous affair.
I think you're on to something here. I'd merely suggest to continue pushing your artwork in this direction. There's no denying the fluidity of this piece, and I can definitely tell you're having fun. These are some of the best qualities in illustration. Thank you for sharing those once again
It's been a while since I updated. I've been busy with work and getting sick and the end result is I have little time to draw. Furthermore, I've redone the base body design about 4 times, including an Eva Unit 1 type body, a bat body, a blockier body and now this one. I ended up trying to go for a slightly skeletal appearance in the end, like a cadaver where you can see inside its chest cavity. I have no idea why to be honest, it just felt like it might fit to me; a character who is physically ugly, yet has a beautiful heart. A cliché I know, but I hope that works at least a little in this case. Warning: Still very much work in progress!
