Seeing all these designs as of late have really inspired me (I honeltly really like them, even Megatron and Prime is still in the fixing as seen from the tidyer poster version). I had to try one myself in the same line. What better subject than mr Badass himself.

My first idea whas a silvery dino. But then I figured that Grimlock is a guerilla fighter. Less about disguise in terms of transformation and more about speed and battle power. While the robot form is rather bulky the dino mode would be sleek and thanks to the camo he can hide from Decepticons in foilage.

In terms of design he is much closer to the Decepticons as I thought it rather fit the image of the Big Grim.
Especially with them having a robotic scorpion as well.

Have a bonus Arcee with accidentally large head:

    Enjoy, or something. :)

That Grimlock is AWESOME. Really dig the design aesthetic!

Arcee I like, except for the giant head. It's nice how you made her more feminine by making her less robotic-looking (ie, tubes, pistons, etc). :)

Not much mass to work with on a motorcycle so you have to use things like the frame or the covers. :/

This makes a totally scrawnly, Jack Skellington like build though.

Why is it, when I see that top pic, my mind screams, "DINOBOT!" It looks awesome, but I seriously see Dinobot more than Grimlock.

Not that that's a bad thing. Add some intelligence and Shakespeare to Grimlock and you basically have Dinobot anyway. Love those designs.

Looks like Dinobot because of the brownish striped skin...

Nice design. I hope to see lots of people push the envelope with designs now.

I still don't understand how TRANSTECH = Good, MOVIE = BAD.

Not a fan of your version of Grimlock, but that has more to do with your choice of 'vehicle' modes then the art itself. Scorponok being a big exception, I cant really see the new versions taking a giant robotic dinosaur as a 'vehicle' mode.

I really like Arcee though. Are those springs for her arms? :)

Well, sort of. I think it's more the open mouthed chest in bot mode, plus the general head shape as I think about it more. The clawed hands also play better as Dinobot in my mind.

But then again, I just watched Code of Hero with my wife, and so everything reminds me of Dinobot tonight.

Nice work on both of them, though the head shape used for Arcee reminds me a little too much of Megatron (the NON-movie one)

Not bad. I like Arcee best, but Grimlock has a nice sense of menace to him.

for Grimee, just make em grey, and remove the lizard type eyes...you could also give him a mouth guard.

Grimlock really impressed me, and it's great to see some foresight into the next flick. While I'm sorta' "eh" about the color scheme being opposed to his original silver, your "guerilla combat" concept makes it work (plus, the solver/grey/yellow colors signify Big Grim being part of a team, but if he's on his own in the next flick, this makes more sense).
Arcee....could be a bit slimmer, and, well, the head's been addressed already.

    Kudos and nice job!
