Hey folks just joined. Does anyone know what the soundtrack to the new movie will be like, I take it we'll be getting a kind of 'hard rock' soundtrack anyone know if there will be an official song cheers
Hi! Welcome aboard - here's the info you needed (also available via a search, FYI): 1. Linkin Park "What I've Done" 2. Smashing Pumpkins "Doomsday Clock" 3. Disturbed "This Moment" 4. Goo Goo Dolls "Before It's Too Late (Sam and Mikaela's Theme)" 5. The Used "Pretty Handsome Awkward" 6. HIM "Passion's Killing Floor" 7. Taking Back Sunday "What It Feels Like To Be A Ghost?" 8. Styles Of Beyond "Second To None" 9. Armor For Sleep "End Of The World" 10. Idiot Pilot "Retina and the Sky" 11. Julien-K "Technical Difficulties" 12. Mutemath "Transformers Theme" You can check out Mutemath's version of the Transformers Theme here. The Official site has that as well, along with Linkin Park and the Goo Goo Dolls to check out. Hope that helps.
Only things on there worthwhile would be maybe Disturbed and definitely The Smashing Pumpkins....what's with all the annoying emo crap? Thank god the actual score for the movie is orchestral.
Completely awful...I wouldn't buy it. Here is my list of what should've been on the soundtrack: Subdivisions-Rush Spirit of Radio (Bumblebee's Theme)-Rush Enter Sandman (Barricade's Theme)-Metallica Master of Puppets (Megatron's Theme)-Metallica Battery (Decepticon Theme)-Metallica I need to go searching for an Autobot theme of some kind. Any helpers? Heather
Metallica and Rush are so overrated. I mean no offense, but just because a band is someone's favorite, doesn't mean it fits this movie or whatever. My favorite bands would not fit at all.
Rush is my favorite band but the music and the lyrics would fit the movie better than the other music I've heard... No offense taken. But the crunchy hardness of the music would give the movie that "oomph" it needs other than this techno stuff they have on the album. IMHO.. Heather
Well this movie is supposed to be very contemporary and modern so those bands older work wouldn't fit, and their new music.....well......St. Anger...nuff said.... I'd like to see more movies with instrumental rock soundtracks.
I absolutely agree with you...maybe we should give Mr. Bay a sticky note regarding that idea.. Heather
98% shit on the album, and I already have What I've done. Looks like I'll just be downloading the Disturbed song.
I'm curious about the new Disturbed song (I used to be obsessed with them) and Smashing Pumpkins. Everything else is generic stuff.
Yeah the Smashing Punpkins might be ok, I was never huge into them though...and HIM might be cool as well, I dig a couple of their songs...plus Ville Valo used to post here...or at least some people think he did. It was around when I first joined and he said his band was making it big and wouldn;t have much time to post anymore...maybe him, maybe not. I love Disturbed, I liked their first two albums alright but Ten Thousand Fists earned them a spot in my top 10 favorite bands list.
I recently bought Linkin Park's new CD and listened to the song that's on the TF soundtrack. It's...OK. I like the second track more (forgot what's it's called).
Rush would sound too upbeat. Like I said before, maybe some instrumental industrial type rock would fit. Like Nine Inch Nails instrumentals. The electronic aspect would fit the robotic theme. Take the song Just Like You Imagined for example (the song in the trailer for 300). And Trent has done movie scores and soundtracks. Plus he's a nerd, not sure if a Transformer nerd..
You were reading my mind, hon. Right on... As far as the music appealing to teenagers, if this is what is considered music nowadays, then take me off this planet and send my sorry butt to Cybertron. I'll take my Rush, Metallica and Pink Floyd anyday. Love, Heather
Metallica is so ridiculously overrated. They might be worthy of it if they didn't put out that last album....ugh....
