Minor/Repaint: Movie Prowl (trying to salvage a flubbed-up Bumblebee)

    Sooo... I got chemical "X" on my 'bee. It washed the black stripes right off. Doh!

    Can't have a 'bee without the stripes. Stripes are way too hard to paint, so he'll have to be somebody different... Like Prowl!


    Early beginings so far: Still have to paint the back window. Lot's of touch-up to do before the car gets the final gloss coat. Haven't worked out a head yet. Need police decals and a light bar. Haven't even begun to paint the 'bot mode.

    And no, I absolutely will not give a '78 Camaro a Japanese police paint deco. :D  It'll have to be American, no matter how non-Prowl that may look. :p

    not to bad but those darn stripes come off when rub with a dish towel way too easy to take off

    Here's an extreemly early look at the 'bot. Still plenty of yellow to cover. Still plenty of touch-ups to do.

    Anybody have any ideas where to get Police decals?

    looking good so far, but I can't believe you're completely repainting him without taking him apart man. As for decals, surely there's some model police cars out there you could steal them off of...

    Dont forget to repaint the missile launchers, then stick 'em on his shoulders for a more G1 styled look!

    So far, he looks great. The vehicle mode looks plenty kickass as an old school cop car.

    That does look all sorts of kick ass...except the face. But otherwise it's an awesome custom. If there was an official repaint like this I'd might have to pick it up.

    I know its a dodge but seeing bumblebee in fuzz colors kinda reminds me of the bluesmobile...anyone up for a blues brothers transformer?
