So a while ago I started on a can sculpture of Movie Prime, and left it. Then I made the Shockwave for the Art Show I was in and now that all that rush is over I figured I should finish him before the 18th Birthday craziness. So here it is. I spent a total of eight hours(count 'em 8) working on this guy and he's about one foot and seven inches high.

The last one in the attached files was a WIP figured I'd help show how I do these. The under Armature(the "skeleton") is made out of chopsticks in this one, I usually use wire, but didn't have any handy, these work to, it's held together with glue and tinfoil at the joints. If I was building a Dragon not a Transformers I would have built up his mass using lotsa' tin-foil, which makes 'em heavy and sturdy.

Very cool! I would never have thought of that (and had I tried, I'd have done what big hank suggested, used beer cans, cut myself on them as I drunkenly tried to cut and piece aluminum together, and gotten so frustrated that I gave up on the project). Post more if you got 'em :)

Oh, and welcome to the boards!

I've been on the boards for over a year now. I just never posted here in the Radicons, mainly the Fanart section is my home.

He was welcoming you to the Radicon's boards :)  And slick custom, yet again, you seem to have this down pat. I'll second the notion of making a Dew Bot!

I'd need to make up a lotta' random scraps of metal, and give him a face. The face would be hard...

and he'd be nearly all silver...

One question, how many cuts did you get in the process of constructing this?

I would just use the inside of the cans instead?

Holy shit, that's awesome. You did it better than I can draw Prime!

I second the suggestion for a Mountain Dew can Dewbot!!!
