Grand entrance indeed! Sweet paint jobs there. As for some comments on not liking that playability after painting, I think they failed to notice the backups..Skywarp and at least the second voyager. I want to get into painting, and I figure that I will only paint it if I have/can get another for playability. I'm so bookmarking this thread so I can get one of those trailers for my MP Prime, and so I can remember what kinds of paints to ask for at the hobby shop, point is: add more customs!!

Well I didn't mean that the painted figs aren't playable , because I've transformed them a few times for people in my university (thats what the gloss coat and Futurewax is for). I am careful when i transform them to keep them in top condition, which also applies to factory made toys with a lot of painted parts unless you like your toys worn out fast. i also wouldn't have spent time painting primes' alt mode if they are stuck as bots that would suck, and thats also why i got that trailer for him taking up a lot of space as it is :D

but how many tfs do you see that have painted sliding panels and joints? that is the problem with my screamer, if i want his paint durable i have to make sure his paint is thick enough and then apply a few layers of protective coat over it, but thickening the paint means his parts will have problem sliding in and out, i'll either get superglue tight joints or serious paint kill if i force it to transform( that's why you shouldn't paint the ball joints).

Both Primes look great & the best of all I seen, in my opinion. Made me want to throw away mine :p  The metallic & the overall shinny effects works realy well here. Keep it up!

I absolutely agree. The way the Screamer transforms with all the sliding joints & turning down of the nose, easily worn down many parts, even with the best preventive works done. My custom Screamer faces the same problems when I transform to jet mode.

i only retouched some of my other tfs. i am not a serious repainter but only paint tfs that i feel don't look so good, but could look so much better in my opinion. and my tf collection is limited to only figs that i really like.

    my tiny collection :D
    some are scaled models

just a suggestion for anyone with tfs having loose joints, u could use future floor wax on the joints to tighten them up, use windex to shed off excess. it can also be used as an acrylic gloss coat to hide minor scratches and make things shine. you could apply it with either a paint/air brush.
    have fun!

And when mixed with a color you have a transparent coat.

    HOLY CRAP!!! Absolutely stunning!

Amazing work, man! The attention to detail is amazing, and your efforts payed off well.

I can only imagine your PM box with all the "Can you paint mine?"

Thanks for sharing and welcome to TFW! And might I say, what an entrance!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Simply stunning repaints. I bought an Iwata and a Smartjet with 50% off coupons a few months back and have not had time to learn how to use them. They do come in handy for blowing sanding dust out of Megatrons many bodyparts. Keep up the good work, keep posting now pics and keep making us look like amateurs.

holly cow!! That prime is brutal! I want to make a custom ironhide voyager aswell, but i'm not sure how to paint it, i can dry brush well, but what about those metalic paints? Are they possible to do with a simple brush? or do they have to be sprayed??

FREAKING BEAUTIFUL. Those Primes are the best custom painted 'bots my eyes have ever laid on. They blow away the original paint jobs of their counterparts. :D :D :D :D :D
