They broke streetdate. That means they can face nice fat fines, but you posted this in the wrong forum.

There's a street date for the previews? This is the first I've heard of it.

Hasbro themselves were selling movie preview figures already, how do you break a street date on something they were selling on their own online store?

The street date is today. Considering this problem is popping up a lot, I'm guessing Wal-Mart's computers haven't been updated to say it's all right to sell them now.

Meanwhile, I bought mine from Target with no problem.

I'll donate a couple of poop rockets to Toys for Tots and they can take their chances.

I bought mine from Wal*Mart like a week or two ago with no problems. But yes, the cases all say that they shouldn't be opened until May 1st or 2nd, I can't remember which.

I've seen them at Targets the past week as well.

Well, because they're different. I myself like few of the designs, I'm all for change... but aesthetically they suck in my opinion. Some folks like em, guess their brains are just wired different ;-)

But mostly I take issue with these looking less Cybertronian in many instances when they keep trying to sell us the alien-look concept. That and exposed wiring ticks me off. Just seems irrational (as far as a kids' toyline goes...) that after millions of years giant robots are still leaving themselves exposed to the dangers of wire cutters! Lack of plating ftl :(

    Oh, and the faces :(

/sigh, sorry for the rant. Looking forward to voyager Prime and Barricade though. Blackout is okay too, just wish he was ultra... kinda puny :(

Despite me not liking the designs...I hope Hasbro sell ALOT of them so that the movie will be a commercial success...

I'm liking the designs, the faces included. Transformers has needed a big change, and here it is. And so far it is great. These preview toys (although fiddly to get into alt mode) are simple awsome.

Each to their own though.... It just gets bad when trolls post in the comments section on sites like tformers (and in thier forums too I may add) on EVERY bit of news about the movie, or it's toys. They are the same idiots claiming their childhood was "raped". These people are oviously still children with comments such as this.

Do you guys even own them to have had a good look at them?

They look pretty slick, not that 'alieny' great transformations, great articulation...

And I'm just talking about the protoforms not the entire movie line so I'm not raising the 'things should change vs. stay the same as in '84' argument.

    note the red box.

it's not a streetdate issue at all. Either

    1. they were actually recalled
    2. Wal-Mart corporate had a titanic screwup with a corporate memo.

Either way, go to Target. They're all there.

Same thing happened to me last night, and neither target had any. I suggested to the manager that he may consider taking the two cases of toys off the shelf if they had no plans on selling them.
