Wow, these keep getting better and better! I love the glimpses in time. This issue felt very long. I love how they tied in the original Beagle Mars trailer. Over all I give it an A.

Indeed very well done. If you pay attention you can spot G1 Bumblebee, Trailbreaker, Optimus, and Ironhide.

Loved, loved, loved this issue: Badass bumblebee cover. Awesome 2 page spread of movie action featuring Jazz, Screamer, Ratchet, and Brawl. Nice G1 easter eggs. Bumblebee assumes his alt mode of the 74-75 Camaro to evade Sector 7, then he goes undercover late at night. Too cool. Seeing Protoform Barricade, Blackout, and Starscream talk about killing was worth the cover-price alone.

One complaint: What is the deal with all of these white stripes printed horizontally on alot of the IDW pages? So annoying!

As I pointed out over on the IDW boards, I'm amazed that Sector Seven and Bumblebee can use Mozilla Firefox in 2003.

Granted, as Josh pointed out, apparently even gods have deadlines.

(Though my counter argument is "you could have used IE 6 - that's still pretty commonplace and was used back then, I believe."

Only thing that disappoints me, is I was hoping Bumblebee had been on Earth since the 70's and had been hiding in that form since it was new.

You people forgot RID Scourge, he's like stalking G1 Prime down the freeway!

Seriously though, a great issue, we get to see more of Sector 7, and the protoform TFs are just awesome. Hopefully all hell breaks loose next issue to set us up for the movie.

Oh yeah, missed him. Trailbreaker and Ironhide are on that same page. Trailbreaker is next to Prime and Ironhide is on the edge of the page.

And I just noticed something: Scroll down for SPOILERS.

When Bumblebee is searching the web for extraterrestrial sightings, the IDW web page is visible in front of the passenger seat.

Suspend your disbelief. It's a comic book. The search engine is not exactly Google either, so I am sure the browser is not exactly Firefox. (As opposed to IE7 which is exactly Firefox. :lol )
There is no real Sector 7, and there was no Beagle Mars Rover (I always think of Snoopy -The Beagle Has Landed).

Speaking of Mars -what an awesome way to tie in that preview.
    Protoform Decepticons FTW!

Great job of coloring the Allspark symbols through the lenses, Josh.
That was a really cool effect.

    SPOILERS:
Flashback to 1924. Archibald Witwicky wears a straight-jacket in a looney-bin and having visions of the future. He sees 2007 and a huge battle with a cool image of Starscream, Ratchet, Jazz, Brawl, and another mystery bot.
Flash to 1935: Plans are being made to transport Megatron to a new storage facility inside the Hoover Dam. Flash to 2003: Bumblebee crash lands on earth and Sector 7 are hot on the trail. They discover that their surveilance cameras saw Bumblebee assume the alt mode of an old 74-75' Camaro. They refer to him as a "Transformer" after this. Sam is shown around age 12 or 13 getting handed down his great, great, grandfather Archibald's glasses, that have the allspark inscriptions on them. Sam just gets bored and ignores them. Sector 7 alludes to having used reverse engineered technology from megatron to help the U.S. win the space race...Sector 7 makes plans to lure out Bumblebee by using the Allspark, which they appear to have in their possession. Bumblebee is seen driving around the city at night. He hacks into the computers at an internet cafe looking for any info that can help him in his search. He finds old news clippings of Archibald. The Mars rover is shown and the Decepticon protoforms Starscream, Barricade, and Blackout smash it to bits like in the movie teaser. Here's what they all say:
    Starscream: Primitive.
Blackout: Yes, But evidence of intelligent life nonetheless.
Barricade: We'll need to proceed with caution.
Starscream: Fine. As long as we get to KILL something along the way. :rock

Where is he? I noticed Black COnvoy/Scourge but not MM.

It's a warning that the thread may contain spoilers for those who have not read the issue yet. It's a common courtesy.

I liked it. The issues keep getting beter, I didn't like the first issue too much because I couldn't really tell what the heck was going on in it. All the robots looked the same and blended in to the background to me, and I was worried that all the issues would be like that. Now on earth, the story is picking up (and has colors besides grey!) and I look forward to the next issue.
