Minor/Repaint: Movie Optimus Prime (Part 3)

    Ok. Almost done. I've done some pre and post shading for the trailer. Gave it a lilttle weathered look. The inner parts of the trailer was dry brushed with 3 shades of silver. The repair dock was given a chromy metallic blue repaint. This is the 2nd most painful custom to repaint next to the Movie Prime due to my lack of clear vision for the trailer's main look.

    Thats pretty nice the Sab.....dont know if I'm really feeling the flames right now, I'm sure they look better once the trailer is on Prime, cause then, I'm sure it has so "flow" to it....

    Still, better than I could do :thumb

    Hey, I know what ur trying to say. Thanks Plowking. That's why I had such a hard time deciding. And unfortunately, there's nothing much I could do now as I had actually traced the flames with a blade on the styrene itself. If I were to try and change the pattern, the marks will show.

    Any ideas will be cool should I have the chance to re-do it again.

    I was scouting ebay for the chromy trailer that yu suggested? But instead chanced upon this from someone selling it without the MP convoy itself. I grabbed. Hehe.

    I like the inside more than the outside. The flames look ok, I think they could have extended all the way to the back and fadded out along the way. Also using a little orange in there some where could have helped. Who am I to talk, You have the guts to do it. Rock on. If it looks good to you then it looks good to me. Keep doing what you do.

    WOW! You've done a great job here! Regardless of the flames, which is certainly a matter of opinions and tastes, there is no denying the awesomeness of the insides, top, and rear! To me it all looks aces! Bravo!:bowdown: :bowdown: :bay :bay

    Oh no....I think the trailer rocks!!....its just that the flames on the trailer by itself, I dunno...the flames just don't look like they have a "starting point"....that's why I said I'm sure they would better with the trailer on the Prime, cause the truck has the flames too, so I'm, pretty sure it would look like they are flowing along with the flames on Prime...

    You following me or I did I not make any sense?...:lol
