Oh, I'm quite familiar with Phazer's responses to new toys. I just wouldn't say that this the responses here are positive just because Phazer hasn't given his two cents about how shitty this thing is.
Next to Bonecrusher and possibly Voyager Prime, this is THE toy from the movie I'm looking forward to the most. Can't. Freaking. WAIT. I still have a hard time believing I'll be able to own something that looks that awesome. Some minor points off for the undercarriage under the wings in vehicle mode, though.
Interesting. The early gray proto had me going "pretty kewl.", but this dropped the opinion down to "ugh." Has some of the same chunky, boxy feel as the leader-class Optimus (compared to the Voyager version in robot mode). On the upside, though I can't say for sure since it's painted black, it looks like this toy may have the 'correct' final face, as opposed to the more sharky-beaky early head design.
out of all the movie megatrons we've seen so far, the only one I really like is the LOC. both movie leader class figures have huge cubes for bodies because of the stupid gimmicks. completely ruins the figures.
Here's hoping Takara notices the Hasbro deco is inaccurate, and changes it accordingly for their release.
Leader Megatron looks very bulky. When he's in jet mode, there's a lot of junk tucked away underneath his wings. That kinda ruins it for me. Voyager Megs is better IMO, even with the "ice".
If all the flat grey was done up like Cyb Galvatron or Alt Silverstreak, I'd soooo be all over it. <3 Hasbro's magically abundant silver paint! Let it ride once again!
ya rly I really WANT to like this figure, as it is the most accurate movie Megatron mold I have seen so far. If those are indeed the final colors, Movie Megs may be the only movie character solely represented by a 3" titanium figure. on the upside, I may just save myself $40.
