There's just not one single redeeming quality in any of these Megatron incarnations. None of the toys. None of the movie renders. It blows my mind that every single other design is so fantastic, and then Megatron is just...worthless.
Have you ever read any of Phazer's posts in these threads? Trust me, these posts are positive compared to his.
So when did Hasbro decide they weren't going to photoshop their official photos anymore to at least give the illusion that they actually paint their toys? For shame, Hasbro. Liked the mold, especially the alt mode, but this thing looks like three solid shades of plastic. A black wash on the grey, chrome finish, or both would actually make this thing look like a $40 toy.
Agreed Cory^^^ The paint makes my anus swell with anger. WTF Hasbro!?!?!? Make the damn thing the right colors!!
If they'd ditched the pastel baby blue and barbie pink, they could have invested in some chrome apps or blackwash for the grey — not only would he look better, but he'd look right too! Such a disappointment.
I was SO eager to see him painted, but now.... I'm getting the Voyager Class, he looks VASTLY better then this one.
Show me one transformer with a worse alt mode than this one. Just one. Other incarnations of movie megs are not valid.
Skorpinok (if you assume that the scorpion mode is his primary mode). BM Silverbolt's beast mode is dreadful as well.
I win the internet!!!!!! On topic, I really liked the look of the figure from the resin proto and the catlogue images, but this just looks terrible. Maybe if I strip all the paint, grab a can of silver fusion I can make this monstrosity look monstrous and not like a circus clown reject.
