I don't like it, but I have to buy it simply b/c it is Movie Megs. I mean come on, all they have that can hide the face is one little tiny, not-wide-enough piece of plastic? That doesn't work too well for me.

that's just farking embarrassing. I've really come around on a lot of the movie designs, but Megatron and Frenzy were just fundamentally flawed from the concept-stage on. "Transforms from a mess with folded-up wings to a folded-up mess with wings"
yeah the colors they chose REALLY look nasty im gonna strip that blue and red paint off. totally destroys the look
Bleah. The grey proto for this mold had a certain appeal... in the sense that grey protos always somehow look more awesome than the final product. But this...? Ugly ugly ugly. Even apart from it being "Megatron" (which I think is a travesty), or apart from it being a "transformer" with a rather weak transformation...even just as a giant shrapnel-mutant toy... it's not lookin' so good. The colours are pretty bad, which doesn't help. Maybe if it was a black base with a brushed metallic surcoat, it would bring out the details better, and lend itself to a stronger overall effect. As is, I can't say I'm impressed. zmog
Dear oh dear. The head looks off with the colour scheme. The pink looking things are actualy red/orange so thats ok. Will buy though.
What's messy about him? He looks fine to me. The head is nice, though it could have been disquised better in vehicle mode. The arms look fine, especialy the long, snakey fingers! The body is well detailed, and poportionate. The only downer is the blue stuff, it should blend better with the silver. I give it a 9/10 on these pictures alone, and from what else I've seen. However, this is still a prototype, they could change it later. (usualy at this point they do.)
Ugh this totally blows. I wanted a good Megatron. I would have like the Voyager class Megs but I hate the ice. They way I see it, I doubt he will be walking around the whole movie with ice patches so why should the only Megs I am going to get have them?? Ugh. And I like the Leader class but I hate electronics in the Transformers. It makes the way to cumbersome IMO. O well I just wished Hasbro would make a Voyager class Megs with NO ice on him at all. Like the leader just voyager sized.
Nice to finally see some more pics of this guy. Seems very kibble-laden to me with those giant cockpit thingies hanging off his forearms. And then of course there is the jet backpack. I wonder too how megs' needle fingers passed safety standards? *takes megs away from small child* "You'll poke your eye out, son."
Those colours are terrible. I'd really like to ask Hasbro what they were thinking, given the CGI Megatron they also use in all publicity materials doesn't look like that at all.
Mold was ok, but paint sucks. Really sucks. I'll get it because I really want a leader class movie megatron, but I'm definitely repainting it. And removing his totally random red back flames, or whatever those are. Itll be my first real kitbash. Well, maybe. I'm not so sure I'll get it after all. It is very inaccurate, even in the mold. Chest isnt right at all. Neither are the fingers anymore. Must have been based on really old designs. The head was changed from what it used to be, so thats good. Hm...maybe I'll just stick to voyager.
