transformers new 20180120
That second one's a toy for the Black Panther movie, not Transformers. You can see the seat for action figures in its back and everything.
Thank you for your help.
Interesting...thanks for sharing!
The first pic showing Optimus prime, Soundwave, Megatron, and Starscream..those look identical to the Titan Warriors (or Titan Guardians) sold individually in stores (and in combined set for SDCC 2013). Maybe this means, when they say "new" release, is that they are going to make more figures of the same line? (the blurred/hidden ones, perhaps...)
Why do these people have to EXPUNGE EVERYTHING EVERY SINGLE FLIPPING TIME???
Not sure, since there were others released around the same time in the Prime line. I don't think that accounts for all of them, but for now it looks like it might be an old picture. I've left it off the frontpage as there's nothing new revealed or anything to really speculate on with any firm grounding.
The fourth picture is a Rescue Bot, Growl, from 2013 - but it's possible that he might be getting a singles release as he originally came with a playset only. Again, nothing there to make that more than idle speculation - and that's identical to his old stock image. Which also factors into my question over the Titan figures image.
For the new RB Optimus Primal with dino Mini-Cons.
Nightmare of BW Megatron, part two).
'Posable neck'? Really?
A new RB Optimus Primal AND he might come with a tiny robit anklyosaurus??? Dig it!
I want that Trex Prime/Primal in Generations.
Oh Bayverse Movie Ironhide. Somehow i imagined G1 with a hole through the chest or something..
Why in the world would they have MPM-06 woth a stand up box?! How stupid! They all are horizontal and now this ONE box will stand up. Dangit hastak. So close
I missed out on Ironhide back in the day,so this version is a win win for me. Though don't know if I have the money for him. So many TFs and so little money.
That T-Rex Optimus is adorable, yes I said adorable.
I'm excited to have Ironhide in my collection but "posable neck"... come on.
"Looks like the character we're advertising on the box"
Well, boy, does IDW have a book for you!
The most curious thing to me is why Ironhide would have a vertically oriented box. They couldn't have expected fans wouldn't get annoyed with the lack of conformity. Perhaps with TRU doing poorly, the only way other outlets would pick this release up is if the box was oriented that way so as to take up less shelf space? Is that a thing in retail? I've heard that space is a commodity. Could be totally wrong, though.
Definitely doesn't have to do with what mode he's packaged in, though, like the front page mentions. Prime was in Robot mode, and he was just placed sideways into his horizontally oriented packaging.
This is just a guess but isn’t Ironhide getting a mass release and isn’t a store exclusive? I bet most stores probably prefer toys that have a smaller footprint on the shelf, especially when you can only devote on aisle to action figures and this is a much more expensive figure. I’d be curious if this was a choice Hasbro/Takara made on their own or, as they were talking to retailers about taking on the MPM line, this was a request made.
Hmm, curous as to why the car model isn\'t on the box (and it wasn\'t on the box for MPM3 either). Seems kind of strange especially if you are advertising it as a licensed figure
