Wow, those flames came out superb. How did you do them so well?

I don't think dkrolikm did these, he said "found them on siebertron.com". Those look good, but I hope someone makes armor for Magnus in teh future

NP is nice, but I like the one Squall did better.

I'd rather see the leader version done up like that, so that all the work that went into the flames was actually visible on parts of the robot mode instead of the voyager's "backpack."

Those rock, wish we'd gotten them instead of the crappy Robovision and Battle Damaged repaints.

Thanks man! That means a lot!

I'm curious as to how this guy did the flames though...he must have had a custom mask made from the Voyager version of Prime, cause the flames are identical...

His Magnus is cool...but I don't think robot mode of the mold is suited for Magnus. The vehicle mode is bitchin' though!

He must have done that, because as you said, the flames are perfect!

I was watching that auction you had, and I missed it. I'm really surprised you didn't get much for it :(  The sword alone was worth the price of admission. I would have so bought it to add to the NP shelf.

I have a leader NP (no flames), and I want to do a voyager one, but I can't find a voyager Prime as of yet, (I'm not going to use my Robovision Prime lol)
I did get some siver flames from my sons' XMODS RC car that are very close to the same style and size, kinda lucked out there :)

Oooh. I know this guy, Cal from calscustoms.com, hangs out at Fwooshnet (or, at least, used to. :( ) Check out his stuff if you get a chance, he does impeccable work.

The Nemesis Prime is cool... as usual.

But I have to say, I REALLY like the Magnus! Something about the weathered metal and white really look great together on this mold... which I have to admit, surprised me (normally, Magnus repaints are kind of meh...)

Dammit... now I'm actually wishing for Hasbro to do a Magnus repaint! Who would have thought it woudl come to this. If it followed this model, I think it'd be way better than Battle Damaged, G1-themed, and Night Patrol (whatever) versions.

Flames are easy shit. create the art in a vector program and bring to a local sign shop to cut them out. put down the stencil, and paint your flame. Vinyl won't let paint bleed underneath it, when it dries..voila! flames.

I've always thought the voyager mold would look great as a 'toon style colored robot mode' Magnus.

Yeah, or just hand make the stencil. When you have a pattern to work from, as you would with any movie Prime, you could make the stencil pretty easily with some of that liquid rubber model masking material. Paint it on, wait for it to dry, score it along the flame edges, lift it off and set it on some plastic sheet until you need it.

There's literally dozens of ways to do flames though.

These both look really good. I'm shocked at how nice Magnus looks there.
