Now this is my take on one of the best figures of the Movie line!
He really needed touchups to bring out all the details

First of all, i looked for reference pics of the real vehicle (according to TF Wiki, a Ford F-350 tow truck), as well the truck used in the movie. Painted the seats and inner roof black like the film, as well the innards of the doors, this improves greatly the overall look. For the metallic bed, i painted black as base and later a coat of silver
Unlike the other trucks i repainted, Longarm needed to be more in line with the final battle autobots, and well, being a tow truck he cant be that clean usually...

For the robot mode, i painted different details with silver, red and gold, specially gears and cables. Later i gave him a black wash to give that worn out scheme and finally some touchups with silver, specially the gun
When painting the gun, i though of adding a real chain to the hook and i was about to cut it when i saw a pic of the mounted shoulder cannon (wich tried to do before without luck), this time with instructions on how to do it. Im glad i saw that pic, otherwise i wouldnt be able to make awesome poses like that last pic of this thread...

More pics ready for the whole gallery at Radicons :)

The black wash on his alt mode looks great. I can almost imagine him driving through those streets during the Final Battle, getting hit with dirt, glass, and all that street ruble. Nicely done.

very, very nice! I've got the screen battle one myself. With the small mikaela figure in there. But I'm going to give it the same treatment when I get to it. Remember that there should be a chain there somewhere! Bumblebee was hooked up with a chain!

Nap, I really like all of the work you did to this. I especially like the treatments you've given him in robot mode. The silver on the light bar is a nice touch too :thumb

oh sweet. Very nicely done! I love it. I'm really glad that despite re-working the paint that you left the Orson Easter egg on the doors :)

Yeah it needed that logo (although i would have prefered to repaint the screen battles version) to look good

I might get later down the road the reprolabels set, although i wish Delta made one with the OrsonĀ“s info

No instructions needed, just lay it across the shoulders and use the hook to go under the doors on his back to hold it in place.

Great work. He looks like he's been through hell.

However, Longarm isn't based on a Ford. He's a GMC.

I've given it a go, but it doesn't seem to hold that well. Is that how it is supposed to be or have I done it wrong.

    Pictures would be appreciated.

I remember there being a nice photo in the feedback thread for the toy(feedback forum on TFW) and it sits decent enough, but its not like it pegs in place or anything.
