I know the movie toy line will probvably end sometime in the future, so I am starting to look into others toy lines that are similar. My question is what toyline is most like the movie toy line? In things like realisticness, size similarity, and real alt modes(or very close to real).

There's Alternity. Though at $50 a pop that can be a bit pricey.

Also going off of the Bumblebee design, the upcoming TF: Prime line will probably be "movie like."

Doesn't seem like there will be much of a break in the movie stuff. You've still got the movie related things that haven't hit the shelves yet and then with the third film coming out next summer you have to figure the third movie figures will be out by Spring.

Beast Wars/Machines. It's obviously not as realistic as the movies (if at all), but it has a lot of the detailed robot modes with strange body shapes, and a lot of personality.

The Robots in Disguise car brothers jump out - like the movie stuff they've got realistic alt modes, complex transformations, and detailed looking robot modes. The main difference is that their aesthetic is slightly more Japanese/anime looking than alien, but they fit in just fine.

The toy line that will follow Transformers: Prime will be the one to watch, at least going off of the early peek we've had a Bumblebee.

As for current lines, I wouldn't say any line in general is an approximation beyond Alternity, but yes those have been a bit pricey so far. I think you can identify certain figures out of each line that are close though. The following are personal opinions as figures that could fit in (some better than others)

    Beast Machines Jetstorm and Tankor
    RiD Prowl, Sideburn & X-Brawn
    Cybertron Soundwave & Blaster
TFC Toys MP Battle Rollar & MP Shadow Rollar (a much better fit with the movie toys than the G1 Masterpieces)
    The entire Alternity line
    Alternators Ravage
Cybertron Scrap Metal (Protoform/drone army builder candidates)

The classics seem pretty close to the movie line (sorta).

this... but we don't know the designs or even the toys yet...
from older lines, maybe some Beast Machines vehicons (and maximals if you like beasts), Classics/Universe/Generations (they are sorta real vehicle modes, but they don't have the detail that movie toys have... so you have a realist vehicle mode with a robot with blocky arms, legs and maybe torso...not that they are bad, but that's their main difference), some alternatots, alternity too, etc

Hmm, for Movie-like toys... I definitely say the Alternators and Binaltech/Alternity lines stands out the most.

Judging by the design we saw for Bumblebee in the upcoming TF: Prime series, it's possible that the TF: Prime figures might qualify as the movie-like toys you wish to collect.
