Better I'm sure. Hopefully they will be like the alternator tires and be fine. All my Alternators tires are still mint.

The tires are fine on mine. I think this is probably cuz they dont all roll. They get stiff but the rubber is fine. The RID rubber tire problem seemed only present in the US versions of those toys.

It's been known for quite some time. That was one of the main "buy this sucker" factors for me.

yup, quality on the rubber tires used for movie prime seems to be like the ones on the alts, far more superior than the ones used on rid.

ya, it seems fine in quality-and they all roll-take the tire off, some of it it probably stuck to the car itself, like mine was-popped the tires off, popped them back on...BAM all roll

The problem with RiD tires was that they were moreso a rubberized plastic, not the type of rubber we're accustomed to. As the rubberizing agent leaked out of the tires, they shrank and lost elasticity, resulting in cracking.

Movie Ops seems to have regular rubber on his wheels. He ought to be fine. ^^

Just wondering but is cracking consistant in all RiD toys? Even later repaints like the yellow Prime?

Is the Tire cracking one of those "Just cause I left it in the sun for years" things? I'm curious, because even now my RID figures don't show any signs of any kind of tire problems...did I just get lucky? Is it the oil from my greasy fingers keeping them intact? Weird!

Of course, I've also never seen the brittle gold or clear plastic some people seem to be plagued with, either... never had a problem with any of that, except for my MP Seekers, who fight a neverending battle against stress marks, and an old gobot dive-dive who used to go in the tub with me, and who consequently disintegrated :p
