Hello all. I don't kitbash but never before have I had the urge this strongly. I bought TF Movie Landmine last night. I feel it has all sorts of kitbash potential. 1) I think with a head swap he's be a great G1 Classics Hound. 2) A blue repaint would make a nice G1 Beachcomber. 3) If you turn his waist around, and his head, then is back can become his chest. I kinda get a Hoist feel off of him this way. If anyone is actively modifying/digibashing this toy, please put a link in this thread for me. I'd love to see your work. Thank you!
am in the middle of doing this now, , im doing a hound bash of him, ive swpped his hands with 08 bumblebees 2. ill post pics as soon as possible
I'm doing one also, first thing I did was swapped out those hands too (ROFL) I'm making mine beachcomber
I like the hands actually. With the ability to turn his head and waist around, while not worrying about the direction of the thumbs, you get a Punch/Counterpunch feel out of the character. Maybe with a head like Beast Wars Tirantulus that flips down this could be accomplished. I guess that's #4 for variations.
Heeey, than you could hide a Decepticon insignia underneath the little plate the covers his head in alt mode. XP The only issue for me is that those durn side bits prevent his head from rotating! >.< The darn thing's gotta be popped off and back on, which it does enough on its own as is. -.-
I kinda see him as Swindle too, backwards. I am also getting a Wheelie vibe off of him due to his waist/feet.
yo dude If your gonna ask some one to digbash a TF... than could you please post some pics of the toy... so we know what we are working with here...
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=158734 Somewhere in that thread you will find pictures. Beachcomber is the obvious homage here, and I agree a headswap could bring in Hound... I can see Hoist, but I'd say it's a stretch... (All the green gets painted lighter green, and all the grey gets painted orange? It might work, but I'd need to see it first)
sorry bout the bad pics, just need to sand the head a bit more, and then paint it. i have asked sculpt-bot to make me a hound head which will obviously be of a much much higher quality. but for now just so that i have a passible hound figure here ya go....... sorry bout the blurry pics!
