I favorite Recon Ironhide. He looks awesome. Leader Ironhide is tempting me though.

The Deluxe Ironhide is a popular choice, but I'm not all that excited for that one. It's not a bad figure, it just does not impress me. He's also shorter that Deluxe Bumblebees and Ratchets. This hurts him for me. I like it, but he is so badly out of place unfortunately.

Recon Ironhide is a badass with all the weapons. Sadly, Hasbro modified his exterior looks too much. I don't mind the lightning deco, but the back doors and window changes kick him right out of the movie accuracy catagory. Otherwise, a very good voyager I should have picked up.

DOTM Leader Ironhide is a pure disappointment. Complaints of loose joints, legs doing the splits because the figure cannot support its own weight, hip problems, broken parts, so much robot kibble hanging off the bottom of the truck in vehicle mode, junk hanging off of his arms in robot mode, and the roof top flap on the driver's side has no way of staying shut. I have been wanting a Leader Ironhide, and now that we have one, I believe they missed the mark on it. Too many flaws of what could have been an "ultimate" Ironhide for so many.

2007 Ironhide still remains one of my top picks along with Recon. Not perfect but not bad either, really.

DOTM Voyager Ironhide is the "athlete" of the bunch. Not as bulky, but very athletic looking giving him a feel that his is ready to brawl with anyone. Some don't like his arms, but they don't bug me too much. Having an entire front-end of a huge truck, and the wheels will certainly get in the way of arm articulation. It's a design issue that is hard to fix without sacrificing movie accuracy.

    Just my random thoughts. :)

Accuracy wise I give it to the deluxe. I like the Leader the best though.

Leader. I can deal with the bit of kibble here and there, and he is beefy as hell. Also can be posed pretty well so he looks decent next to Leader Optimus. I have never transformed him, so I cannot comment on his truck mode. I would follow that up with the original premium. Only thing I really didn't like is that his head seems to sit a little too far back for me. I like Recon, but the whiteout pen all over it looks like trash.

The deluxe and new Voyager are too small to fit in with my collection.

I can't really comment since I didn't actually buy an Ironhide untill the Cyberverse. :/

HftD deluxe Ironhide is my favorite, it's a great version of the character.

I still say the OG is best:
Recon's too OTT, Deluxe is too tiny, Leader's too big and has those stupid blue parts, DOTM Voyager is WAY too spindly looking.

Can't believe 3 movies in though and we haven't gotten what i'd call a "definitive" Iron Hide (ala Battleblades BB and ROTF Leader Prime)

biggest flaw of leader class ironhide that it is simply too big in scale compared to ROTF Leader Class Prime. Thus for scale priority, the 2007 Premium Class Voyager seems to be the best, since the new DOTM Voyager seems to be a tad too small.

I just returned my Leader Ironshide this morning. I was able to cope with the kibble, the wrong scale and with the stupid blue color, but the damn ball joint on holding the bumpers were the last straw. The ones on mine snapped out during the first transformation and never plugged properly ever since.

Paint thinner or rubbing alcohol will make short work of that.

If you bend the knees, he is a little shorter that ROTF Leader Prime,
and it looks like he's standing a little farther behind Optimus.

The 07 voyager ironhide is smaller than 07 voyager ratchet, which is plain wrooong. So leader ironhide with bended knees and wide action stance is perfect next to rotf leader prime

Do you mean literally the G1 Ironhide toy, or the allegedly-upcoming red redeco of a movie Ironhide?
