This is to all the people out there who dislike the movie lines (i dont exactlly love them) what figures did you buy from both the 2007 movie line and rotf if any i know there was a few i caved on and really loved so let me know how you feel. Please dont include homages from rts as they are obviously meant to be in a classics aesthetic

    Here is my list

Mindwipe ( cool alt mode, king of fanmodes, slight homage)
Skystalker (fits with mindwipe, is genrally a cool figure)
Lockdown (could have been generations imo)
    Sunspot (perfect sunstorm minion)
    Firetrap (nice homage to brawn)
    Beachcomber (nice poseable homage)
Bludgeon (might as well have been Generations imo)
Wreckage (really nice figure not quite as movie aesthetic as all the others)
    hubcap (very classicsverse in design)
    breacher (very classicsverse in design)
ejector (cos he is a toaster meh he isnt that great)
real gear binoculars, mp3 player and 3x camera (all meh but booster x10 who serves as my MP laserbeak)
rotf swerve (red sideswipe repaint)- decent homage but he still live under my bed and never gets touched
rotf soundwave (horrible figure baught because i like soundwave)
rotf brawn (baught for pistol but works well with halo Megablock figures)
Whirl and bludgeon 2 pack (baught for whirl who fits well with classics. Bludgeon im looking to sell off)

Rather dislike the movie aesthetic but I did get some movie-ish figures.

The most blatant is Siderarm Sideswipe who I repainted (see the sig).

I also picked up Fallback and Mindset as part of a sale. Fallback isn't super movie-ish and Mindset was gotten for the sale and because I need more Autobots. Also got Terradive because he's a really cool jet and I modded him a little so he looks a little better.

I'd be genuinely interested to hear what movie haters think of ROTF leader Prime or Human Alliance Jazz.

They are nicely engineered toys that I have absolutely no interest in.

I own the following movie figures:

    TFTM
    Deluxe Barricade
    Deluxe Bumblebee (2007 Camaro)
    Dropkick
    Longarm
    Payload (meh)
    Scorponok (meh)
    Swindle (meh)
    Wreckage
    Blackout
Rescue Ratchet (needs replacement hands and head... Venksta? Pretty please?)

    ROTF
    Brakedown
    Dead End (meh)
    Divebomb
    Knockout
    Skystalker
    Sonar
    Brawn
    Lockdown
    Bludgeon

I plan on getting TFTM Deluxe Landmine and ROTF Mindwipe, Beachcomber, Dirge, Sideswipe, Scattorshot, and Thrust at some point. Also DOTM Shockwave and human alliance buggy.

Sideswipe, Thrust (who is an amazing figure), and the ice cream Twins. I suppose you could count Bludgeon and Lockdown, but I think of them more as really early Generations releases.

I've never bought a movie toy. I gotta lot from people buying them for me cause they thought I like them, although, I'm appreciative of that. I guess if I were to buy one myself, it would be a leader prime

I bought a lot of stuff from the first movie and greatly regretted it. For the second move I did like the HA line and I bought a handful of deluxes and scouts and kept it limited to that. The rest is just too much money to spend on a line I don't like very much.

Well, ROTF was the one I really despised, but I still bought all the Constructicons except the giant Devastator(I did buy legends tho). Also Starscream, Bludgeon, Mindwipe, Brawn and some car dudes. So clearly the movie didn't actually stop me from buying anything.

first movie i bought at least one of each mold, gave them away

    rotf i caved on:

    bludgeon
    mindwipe
    skystalker
    HA sideswipe
    HA Jazz
    Tomahawk
    Terradive
    Seaspray
    Breacher
    Hubcap
    Jetfire
    LDR Prime (99 cents)
    HA BB

my wife got sideways, the ice cream truck, ransack, and ejector

HA jazz is a great figure, fairly involved transformation, non-intrusive gimmicks, good proportions etc. he was one of the only characters i liked their updated look since it was close but not exactly like the original

LDR Prime on the other hand, fiddly, frustrating transformation (MP Megs is my favorite fig to tf...) the swords without springs would have helped immensely, other than that a damn good representation of the render

I only hate the movies. The toys are awesome. Well a bunch of them are.

A lot of people complain about the lack of accuracy, but I feel some of them actually improve on the designs. I hated some of those designs, but I reckon they really benefited from the simplification necessary to translate them to toy form.

I tried out the movie figures with Bonecrusher, ended up hating the figure so bad I threw it out so I guess he doesn't count.

I did cave in on some of the hybrid figures which I've kept so we can count those.

Wreckage was pretty cool after I painted over the clear parts of the figure.

Bludgeon was a nice tribute figure so I could not say no.

Lockdown was a cool way to add an Animated character to my Classics collection even if that rubber hook does kind of get on my nerves.

Seaspray was in movie packaging so I guess he counts as a movie figure.

Hubcap because his car mode is so cool and I kind of like his bot mode as well.

Breacher because he has this cool sort of hybrid look going on even though he is scout sized.

Hailstorm even though I don't like his robot mode all that much having huge rocket launchers on each shoulder was just too anime to pass up.

After seeing the pictures I've got to have Shockwave for my collection.

If it's something humanoid shaped, armored, the head looks cool, and nothing too crazy is going on then it's kind of appealing. Not being in the movie kind of helps as well since I don't have any feelings of disappointment toward the character.
