What does that have to do with the colours?

If there's one thing that bugs me more the HAET3RS, it's HAET3RS that post random negativity in unrelated topics.

I think these recolors are neat, even though as it's been pointed out, they really don't mesh all that well with the movie aesthetic...although I been kinda tempted to get Thundercracker and the G1 Starscream re-deco just to have movie-style Seekers...

    Anyway, nice job!

    Excellent work!!
Definate colorful improvement from the movie designs. Unfortunately, for Hollywood, realistic means bland & almost colorless. The G1 colors are a bit too restricting for a live action flick. Trying to match colors to part that simply don't correspond is tough.
But it would probably work very well on the toys as repaints.

I'm sure Hasbro has something like this planned at some point.

We're getting a G1 repaint of Starscream and Ratchet, and we're also getting a G1 Thundercracker repaint of Starscream. Also, both repaints of Screamer have a new head. G1 colorschemes, in my opinion, would stick out like a sore thumb in a real world setting, so the simple and realistic paintjobs are much better in my opinion.

I did this a while back...it's posted in the "photoshop boredom" thread. I just thought I'd also post it here and share. Sorry to beat you to the punch "neK"

I'm also trying a starscream one. Not easy.

Here's movie version starscream G1 colors. Enjoy.

***on a sidenote.....while doing this I noticed 2 things. 1. These colors would definately not work for the movie. Toys and a cartoon sure and 2. The Starscream movie version head, in black looks a hell of a lot like Darth Vader's head.***

I have to disagree. I personally think the Megatron G1 recolor makes him look better. Movie Megatron as he is, is just a monochromatic anime monster. At least with the G1 colors I find him more interesting to look at, and he no longer blends in with himself anymore.
The StarScream looks a little on the cheesy side. But even cheesy makes him look more interesting then he currently is to me.

    Prime G1 version

I think something similar to this could have worked for the movie. I'm also having a change of heart for the Ironhide colors. Something red or burgundy could have worked for the movie just fine.

Prime's neat. Flames are still way better though.
I wouldn't think so. It's too close to regular colours. Though if they did something like robovision...

The Megs recolor is absolutely an improvement, and I even like the second Starscream. Jazz looks great too.
