So I just picked up my G1 Jazz from target today, and I realized something when I held it up to the light. The visor has an intentional "cracked" design to it, possibly similar to Final Battle Jazz (I don't have have it to compare to unfourtunatley). I was wondering if all of them were put out with that visor, or was this maybe something I missed on the original Jazz mold? I mean other than the cracked visor the toy is a straight repaint of the original.

I don't know I just thought that it looked odd, especially because I figured it would be a straight repaint of the first mold.

EDIT: This is the best picture I could take of it, it was shockingly hard to get a good angle of.

You have a G1 Jazz with a cracked windshield. It is most likely to just be a QC issue.

No not the windshield I'm talking about the visor on his face, it has an intentional, designed cracked look to it. Like there isn't a real crack in it. It's hard to describe but I believe it is the visor from Final Battle Jazz. Unless ofcourse it was on the original and I missed it.

Perhaps it was unintentional but looks intentional?

My normal Jazz is fine... I haven't seen FB in person yet.

I was just looking up pictures of Final Battle and Original (Mine is three hours away right now haha) and it definatly has the visor from the Final Battle Version, if I can figure out how to post pictures I'd show you. I'm wondering why they would use that visor for the G1 repaint instead of the original if the rest of the body uses the original mold.

Upload the pictures to a photo hosting website (such as www.imageshack.us) and put the URL of the image in [ IMG ][ /IMG ] tags. (take out the spaces)

Apparently, both the G1 repaint and Final Battle Jazz have a modification on the black hinge holding the arm panels together that the original lacks. For having two bits in common, it's sad that G1 Jazz doesn't have the FB gun also.

After reading your post I went and checked my G1 repaint Jazz and mine doesn't have the cracked visor, so it looks like either yours or mine is a production error until others can confirm which is correct.

I got a G1 repaint Jazz coming from a friend in Michigan. I hope it doesn't have the cracked visor. If it does, I'm doing some part swapping.

Now here's the big question, since I'm not the only schmuck with the battle damage can this be considered a varient?
