Hey all , i had an idea for a Evac/Blackout repaint .. Im going to make a US Coast Guard version of the mold.. I seen a version of a chopper that the coast guard actually use and its almost the same chopper.. Should be a pretty simple repaint.. Im going to start it as soon as i get my hands on a Movie Evac.. So if anyone has an extra of hm and want to sell or trade it could you please PM me and let me know ? I dont know if anyone has done a repaint like this yet , i hope not lol cause i really want to do this repaint .. So if anyone can help me out with a Evac please let me know Thanks and let me knowwhat you think of the idea. -Curt
May have to take ya up on that lol .. Im going to check a hobby shop near me and see if they sell a set of decals but i pretty much doubt they will.. Ill probably have to make my own.. I just got a Movie Evac too like 2 min after i made this post so im good to go .. Glad ya all are liking the idea, I never seen one done of him and the idea pretty much came to me while watching The Deadliest Catch and they showed one of the choppers lol. I thought it would make a great repaint.
Na nothing like that . That one is really cool and all but not Coast Guard.. I'll be starting this one as soon as i get my Evac in the mail . Im already working on the decals and such for him .
Just so you know, the chopper you have a picture of is not a Pave Low. The Pave Low is about 5 times bigger than that.
yeah i know they aint the same ya can tell that just by looking at them, it looks similar thats what made me think of the idea. It should be a pretty nice repaint when its complete..
I got my Evac and started painting him up . New pics are up in the orginal post as well as a side by side comparison for before and after look . Its going to take a few more coats of white paint to cover up the bright orange plastic . Its almost there but has a slight peach color to it lol .. Today it was dry enough so i could throw him back together again and see just what spots i missed while painting him. I think he is looking pretty good so far.. In His robot mode i was hoping to give him a look like a diver in his diving suit . I may paint up the grey mouth area to look like a resperator like divers use. I also painted his feet black to try and give it a swim fin look . I may add some Oakley logos on him to give it more of a wet suit look , maybe one on his shoulder.. I still have alot of painting to do still and a repair to his back rotor that broke off during shipping. I'll update when i finish him up Let me know what ya think -Curt
So? If you want one, do it! The best reason to do a custom is to get a figure that you want but can't buy. Praise and adulation for original thinking and creative skills are nice and all, but the important thing is getting the fig you want. Looking brilliant so far, PA!
the head that comes on Incinerator has the look you desire. Paint the tubing and all at the bottom of the face to bring them out, and voila. I like where you're going with this.
Small update on the Evac repaint im working on.. I pretty much havethe paint complete. I photoshoped some decals onto him to see how he looks. I think its pretty cool looking and much better then the orange version.
Very SWEET! Nice job. I am planning on turning my Evac into Blades. This gives me more ideas, thanks.
Updated the Pics in the orginal post. Added a little big oversized twin minigun set up to the underside of the vehicle mode and in bot mode he is able to hold it as a gun.. Little bit big but i think it looks pretty cool lol . What ya think ?
