My apologies if this has been asked in the past, but I couldn't seem to find mention of it.

    Pardon my quick MSPaint handiwork.

Does anyone have any idea what movie Blackout's pegs are for? They're perfectly shaped to accommodate minicons, but seeing as it's not a recycled A/E/C mold, and there aren't any minicons in the movie line, that doesn't seem right. They stick out like sore thumbs on the otherwise (pretty)realistic alt-mode, so they're not there for technical accuracy either.

I was wondering when I picked up Evac awhile back as he was my first version of the mold, and picking up a Premium Blackout today reminded me of the little mystery.

Maybe the pack-in scorpinok was supposed to have his own little minicon "port" in the early design stages, which IMO, would have been kinda neat.

    Surely one of you knows.

You can remove his "backpack"... there's a peg at the front of the rotor piece that you see when you raise his shoulder missiles that he can hold. Bend at the joint, and one of those marked pegs fits in one of the holes on the whole assembly. Turns the backpack and chopper blades into a weapon.

Ah...right. I definitely had my Evac posed like that for a bit too. Thanks for jumping my memory. I'd definitely give up that ability to retain blackout's clean lines in alt mode.
