So I love the Cybertron Downshift mold. Kick-ass muscle-car vehicle mode, and a great robot mode (could use some waist and neck articulation, but that's minor, really).

My gripe about Cybertron Downshift is that stupid lime-green color. My main complaint about Movie Big Daddy is that blaring bright orange (yeah, I know it's an homage to G1 Micromaster Big Daddy, but I still don't like it).

So what do I do? I get both, and part-swap them!

You get a totally cool Wheeljack out of the two! Unfortunately, the remaining parts put together get you one ugly freak as well.

Fortunately, I've been needing a guy in this mold for another kitbash for a while now, so Mr. Orange-and-Green will be transformed into something else later on.

Oh, and the car modes look exactly the same as they did normally, except for the trigger-fin-tab thing on the guns. That's the only visible portion of the part-swap in vehicle mode.

Nice black wheeljack, the green and orange reminds me of the hobgoblin from spiderman. Maybe a custom marvel crossover.

Nice. I got a Big Daddy and removed the flames and did it up as the car from Supernatural for my sisters birthday in a display case, so you got 2 potential crossovers there

The black Downshift is actually pretty dull in my opinion.

There has to be at least some amount of color to make a figure kick, whether's it's a little red, purple, or teal. I don't think the flames can do this by themselves since they're off to the side.

And I agree with Hooper. while I'm not big on the mix of green and orange, there's definitely more jumping out at you.

The all-black one is horrible. That green and orange guy is awesome, though. Loads of personality.

    I feel the exact opposite.

Love the black/gray one. Very cool.

I wondered how this would look, and it looks really good. I just wish I bought Big Daddy when he came out. You should do the waist and neck mod to give him more articulation.

the black one is emotionless, he looks monochrome from a distance.

the other one i cringe laughed at it the colours clash so bad.

    both definately need something.

Awesome idea. I love doing this with recolors. I love the all black and the multi-color isn't half bad.

I think they both look awesome. And you should do the head and waist mod and then you're not missing any articulation.

I'm going to have to flip-flop on my opinion from earlier. The black look is starting to grow on me. I still think you need to give it a color accent somewhere to make it kick a little.

    Thanks for the comments guys!

I like this, actually: the black/gray one seems to be a hit-or-miss depending on the person, and I like the comments stemming from it! :)

My intention was to get a very monochrome-ish Wheeljack out of this; I was actually thinking of removing the flamejob entirely, but decided against it in the end. I may add a little bit of orangy trim to his robot parts to compliment the orange flames, but that'll be down the road if it happens. On the flipside, I personally do think that Mr.Orange&Green is an eyesore; the colors are just too vibrant in different ways that they clash. Just wasn't impressed with the sloppy orange paintjob on the head. Anyhow, he'll be kitbashed into something else in the near future anyways, so he'll have his colors covered up.

I like the black Wheeljack, that is sweet. As for the orange/green one, I don't know but for some reason I look at it and get a shaddered universe vibe from it. I think am in need of some major R&R.

I have dubbed Black Wheeljack as Blackjack, I think it suits him perfectly.

Gah! Why do you guys find these great part-swap concepts after one of the toys needed JUST came off the market? BLAH!

Heh, seriously--he looks badass. I really want to try this myself. If I can find a Big Daddy somewhere...

I was thinking about doing that with the Big Daddy and Downshift I still have sitting here. Now I definately am. That looks great!

I think a little line paneling and some properly placed flames would make the all black Downshift into a perfect Classics Earth-mode Fallen.
