Now I know that the current Animated show started on Cartoon Network not long after the first movie. Does anyone know if there was a contract that would prevent there being another Transformers show on the air at the same time? It seems that a show loosely based on the closing moments of the movie could be done. The misc figs produced over the last 1.5yrs could be brought into the show to carry the line. Then of course with the new movie more figs and plot points. Transformers is a big brand that could support another "universe" airing while not interferring with an existing one. Afterall Star Trek and CSI have done it.
Cybertron had already ended when Animated begin airing, it was just reruns. That's just Cartoon Network filling air time with useless shows.
No, just no. The movie was bad enough. No need to make it even worse. Animated only, no more, no less.
I'd definitely prefer not to see a cartoon based on the movie. I'd hate to see the movie designs/characters portrayed as silly or slapstick. While I've come to somewhat appreciate the comedy in TFA, I don't think there's a place for that within the style of the movie stuff. Frankly, I'd prefer not to see further urinating-Bumblebee or Sam's-happy-time jokes in the movies, either.
I loved the movie. I love Animated. A cartoon based in the movie universe would be hot. Maybe it could be on late at night and be more along the lines of GI Joe: Resolute. YouTube - SDCC GI Joe Resolute Animation
But isn't the WHOLE point of making a movie cartoon to get lots and lots of money? And ain't the children the people who can deliver all that money?
One would think. GI Joe: Resolute doesn't appear aimed at the kids' market however. I don't see why there couldn't be a more teen-adult oriented cartoon and a more kid-friendly cartoon out at the same time.
