I just have a few more things to do to this and then he is done.

I will take better and more pictures soon but for now i thought id share what i have so far.

He is painted with all sorts of paints, car paints, acrylics, enamels etc.
All of the parts that need to be tough and rub together are painted with car paints to eliminate any chances of chipping, the detailed work is about half acrylics and half enamels. The alt mode parts are sealed with two pack lacquer to give it a glossy finish.

You cant see it on these pics but the finish is so shiny you can see your own reflection in the bodywork.

    More pics coming soon!

    EDIT:

Ok here are some more pics for ya. I dont have a lightbox or any good lighting so i kinda half-assed them.

I think i might re-do this though, i like how it looks but i just dont feel entirely satisfied, like something is missing.
Im not entirely happy with how some of the paint turned out, but then again i did use what was basically old recycled paints so it didnt cost me anything to paint so maybe if i invested in some fresher paints that will help next time. Who knows?

All i know is im not happy with this, i feel like i can do so much better and i KNOW i can so i'll probably get another voyager Prime one day and revisit this. For now this will have to do ya.

With a bit of practice and time and the right materials you probably can. Anyone can learn.....unless you have dyslexia or something that is.. :p

Good to see you back. That is one fantastic paintjob you have done there. It looks almost exactly like the movie model.

No its still on there you just cant really see it due to the angle and lighting. I don't make "partsformers" so the backpack remains intact.

Bad ass! You have given me the inspiration to do one and I have an extra Voyager Prime lying around my home somewhere.........

I noticed you used Alt Sideswipe hands.....might I suggest that you can also use those hands that comes with the Bandai Master Grade 1/100 scale gundam series. They make excellent hands and the right scale too. :D

I never thought of using Gundam parts, mainly because i dont know anything about them so shopping for the right parts is kinda hard, plus they are kinda expensive. The Alt hands i used i got off a guy on here and were pretty cheap.

    Have fun with your project!

That is amazing. This looks spot on with the real truck and Movie prime. I love that super gloss finish.

Sonray, I may be buying my first airbrush soon. I personally prefer the interal-mix, double action(used in an art class). Can I get your recommendations?
