Why wait for deep-space when for an additional 3$ to what I paid for the original I can make my own the way I want it without the blue hue?:D

    Thanks, guys!

You don't know the half of it, I had to turn the flash down because the fins kept showing up white.

I'm thinkin' of buying a discounted SS and butcher the legs, head and arms for a nice Jet mode for display. Whadda ya think?

Nice work, but I'll wait for the new target Space exclusive one.

Nice job on it. If I kitbash my current Starscream to be more movie accurate, I'm going to go for a more flat grey, instead of a shiny look. Also, I'm lazy enough to wait and pay the $25 for the Deep Space repaint :D . Keep up the good work.

Edit: Also, the "blue hue" is from the packaging, and isn't the actual figure.

Looks nice SL. I too however, am lazy enough to just wait for the repaint...which makes me somewhat hypocritical since I hate buying repaints if I already own the figure..

That looks great man! One of the cool things about customs is even if there is a version that exists or ends up being made of our customs, we've had the opportunity to create ours made to order :)

    Thanks for the comments everyone.:thumb

Currently, I have since painted SS's eyes metallic black, with red pupils and gold "eyelids" I have also almost completed covering the remaining tan parts. Additional gold highlights have been applied.

However, my camera has since taken off to parts unknown and am currently investigating it's whereabouts. Updated pictures will follow.

EDIT: And yes, looking back at the picture it does seem to be the blue of the packaging reflecting off the shinyness. But the grey plastic doesn't appeal to me

I have to say, I love this paint I use! It's the same stuff I used on my Leader Megs custom, only not as bronze-y.:D

Lookin real good. Did you experience any trouble getting the paint to stick to the nose cone? I didn't think that soft plastic would like being painted much.

This paint sticks to anything. At first it scratches off if you pick it up, but after in cures, you can't get it off if you tried.

I did one exactly like this, man they look so much better in the correct colors. Almost makes the mold attractive.

The mold has always rocked, hard. It's just that the colours were, weird. I know that the lighting in the movie made him look tan-ish, but he should've awlays been gray/silver.

And that paint would be? Not sure how well Citadel Colours looks, that shade of silver looks almost like Boltgun metal, maybe Chainmail.

Dollar store acrylics. I mixed the colour myself with some black, silver and a tough of gold for a bronzy touch. It's a little more silvery/gray-ish, since now it has fully cured.

My camera is poo, but it does it's job well enough to get the point across. Plus, it's missing. I honestly think someone's borrowing it and not telling me.
