Yeah! Finally completed it as soon as Ratchet's Reprolabels came. He may seem kinda yellowish green in the pictures but in reality, it's a little bit more to the greenish side. He was meticulously detailed and even his butterfly axe had the red patterns repainted. Ratchet was shaded and drybrushed and had anti UV gloss smacked on to him. Well, that's that. Always wanted to re-do Ratchet. So happy!! And among all my customs, I dare say that pictures do not do Ratchet any justice as he seriously looks twice as nice as he is resting on my work desk.

I've also included a special weapon of choice. A 2.4 inch diecast spanner that really works!

That is a lot of masking. This looks great. Not my favorite shade of green, but the app is fantastic!!!

    Hehe. Thank you, thank you.

For some of my metallics, I use clear colours over silver. I got the idea from an old uncle playing with tamiya cars near my place. Hehe. He's really good at giving advice. I usually approach him for tips on painting when I initially started. Coz I dun really know of forums (and all the knowledge that came along with it) earlier on till Frenzy rumble introduced me here.

Yeah, ur rite. That's a lot of masking. Lost track of the number of times I forgot to 'unstickify' the tape and ended up peeling of some paint near the edges. Always had this problem with smooth areas.

I was also torn between a deeper green or yellow. Coz I have Takara Ironhide and it seems kinda green? But pictures online look very yellow. So I erm...went for the middle. Hehehhehehe..

Good to hear. I look forward to seeing the final product. I have the reprolabels set on my Best Buy Ratchet. My only minor gripe is that they didn't include the "Search and Rescue" for the hood, aside from that they are fantastic. Just be really careful with the stripes! Good luck!

OOh...Is it tricky to fix it properly? Any tips?

By the way, any idea if I can use clear protective gloss over the labels?

Anyways, not sure if you guys have noticed but the category image has some flares to the left. That was made while taking Ratchet in a light box.
    Here are my props.
-2 Phillips 18W lamps with Daycool Light
-7 MPX Casio Exilim Camera set to macro mode, ISO at auto
-2 Sheets of white cloth to diffuse the light
    -Black Glossed Paper

I turned the cam's flash off and used some pins, pegs and hangers as an improvised lightbox for the time being. Was kinda disappointed with the results. Ratchet literally reflected all the light thrown at him. Dunno what the heck happened but I suspect that it could be due to the reflective paint work.

In the end, after the 3 hour set up and countless screwed up pictures, I blacked the entire house out and use the camera and soft flash.

Holy Crap this looks great! Try natural lighting preferably from the north it can be shadowless, and avoid the flash if you can. A patio set up could work I take mine on the picnic table with the umbrella open overhead... anyways good job on the figure though.
