I agree with this. I wear helmets/seatbelts I think they are a good thing. I am not fond of someone telling me I have no choice and must wear them.

I think it was something similar to George Clooney in Oh Brother Where Art Thou with his hair.

As a motorcycle rider, I can tell you there's no arguing with the anti-helmet people.

I think last year I've read motorcycle deaths in Florida has increased ever since they did away with the helmet law.

That was my sad attempt at sarcasm.

I posted earlier in this thread about how I used to work for government body that had to deal with these groups. I had a line that I used to use one them-

"so, you want the right to ride without a hemlet, correct? And you realize the law is in place to mitigate your risk while riding a motorcycle, correct? Okay, how about this- if your whole group signs waivers that say that if you injure your head while riding without a helmet you waive your right to emergency services in regards to said head injuries you can ride without your hemlmet?"

they always got angry with this statement, but it was one I used almost every time because I used the phrase "mitigate your risk". I am not saying the helmet will protect you 100% of the time, but not wearing a helmet will protect you 0% of the time. sometimes stupid people need to be protected from themselves. I bet the guy laying on the pavement with his brain leaking out is thinking the same thing (oh wait no he's not, he can't think anymore cause he's dead)

If they signed that waiver would they be exempt from their taxes going to the Canadian health care thing?
Do criminals still get healthcare when they try to harm other people?
Seems messed up that they raise vocals complaints and do something that only hurts themselves and suddenly they are second class citizens.
