Kicks off in Qatar later this evening BBC Sport - Motorbikes - Stoner claims pole for MotoGP season opener in Qatar Stoner's got the pole, I hope he'll be back on form this year after suffering from illness for so much of last season. If no-one knows what I'm on about, MotoGP is the motorcycling equivalent of F1, bikes that are made purely for racing and are not based on any road-going machine. The bikes have the same power to weight ratio as an F1 car, the same acceleration and top speeds, they only give up speed in the differing cornering ability of two wheels versus four. Very much a spectacular thing to watch, and I would argue the second best form of motorsport on the planet, the first being the WRC.
BBC Sport - Motorbikes - Valentino Rossi wins Qatar MotoGP as Stoner crashes out Wow, just wow! What a way to kick the season off! Some staggering passing moves and a very close fight for the top four places for every lap of the race. Can't believe Stoner came off the bike, really not like him. If you can find any highlights of this to watch anywhere, do watch them, you won't be disappointed. If I find some that are available everywhere I'll post them up.
