I chose soundwave. The Kup character was alright to me.

 

Soundwave, definitely Soundwave. Kup is a nice character and design, but Soundwave is vastly more important, imo. Kup can wait his turn for an update.

 

This is a tough one for me. Seeming how I seriusly doubt I would personally get the Soundwave I would want, such as an updated version instead of a tape deck, my vote goes to Kup. Seeing the old timer as a beat up Chevy or something would be pretty slick IMO. Kup for the win.

Yeah, I'm really digging that Kup's getting so much love! I really thought Soundwave would have won by a huge margin.

I voted Kup. Would rather see him. Unfortunately Soundwave will probably win seeing as how the fandom has such a hard on for him.

 

I want Soundwave. A Classics Kup would be nice, but he's far down the list of figures I'd like to see get an update.

No he doesn't. Ml Soundwave is basically G1 Soundwave with a MP3 Player inside. A proper Classics Soundwave needs to be updated both outside and inside.

 

Tis is so hard because I really want them both. But after all the awful Soundwave toys released in years, he needs a good toy. But Kup had better be in the same wave or following one though  

We have one good Soundwave (G1) and a trail of shitty ones. I'd say a good modern SW is way past due.

 

As much as I love Soundwave, Kup definitely needs some recognition.

A modernized tape deck look was captured with the ML version. It'd be interesting to see Soundwave as some sort of new vehicle or contraption but those seem to work better in other toy lines. +1 for Kup.

 

Although I don't see him holding the lead, I'm pleasantly surprised to see Kup has the lead.

Think of it this way, no matter how much you do or don't like the soundwave toys out there he's had quite a few original molds made for him.

Has Kup ever had more than just the one original mold? (I'm almost never a fan of repaints as other characters- unless it's a seeker. They almost never get the love necessary to be a great toy.)

Have to have Kup to go with Hot Rod (and now Springer too)! Other wise it's like Laurel without Hardy, Starsky without Hutch, Mudflap without Skids, Jelly without peanut butter. You just have to have them both.

 

I am going with the old geezer.
